Forterra Building Products is seeking a qualified Technical Resource Engineer for its Kansas/Missouri region.

Reporting to the Vice President Mountain Region, the Technical Resource Engineer is responsible for promoting new and existing concrete products.

Forterra Building Products is a leading manufacturer of a diversified range of concrete and clay building products in the United States and Eastern Canada including Drainage Pipe & Precast, Water Distribution, Specialty and Structural Precast, and Storm water Management. Based in Irving, Texas, Forterra Building Products employs approximately 5,300 people and operates 107 strategically located manufacturing facilities. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

  • Responsible for promoting new and existing concrete products to engineers, specifiers, end users and internal employees

  • Manage Forterra's relationship with industry organizations

  • Serve as the liaison between the engineer and the sales and operations group

  • Responsible for the market development and education of the material specifying process

  • Responsible for the introduction of new products

  • Organizing and facilitating Lunch and Learn opportunity within the industry

  • Identifying and attending Trade Shows relevant to the designated territory

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Engineering Bachelor's degree required or equivalent years of work experience

  • Minimum of 3 years related experience

  • Advanced skills in all MS Office programs to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills

  • Flexibility and willingness to travel
