General Summary:
The Behavioral Genetics Laboratory at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School has an immediate opening for a Research Assistant-II. Tangible experience with behavioral models is crucial. Working under the general supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI) and a postdoctoral research fellow, this researcher should be able to independently perform behavioral studies in rodent mouse models of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The majority of the work will utilize immune-mediated models of ASD. Duties include breeding and generation of mouse models, performing behavioral assays, and analyzing data. This researcher would also be expected to display flexibility by developing a working knowledge of other behavioral models used in the lab and showing a willingness to assist other researchers on separate projects as determined by the PI.

BS/BA in a biology or neuroscience-related field.
At least one year of experience required in a directly related research setting.
Tangible evidence of experience with behavioral studies, background in ASD research preferred.
Tangible evidence of experience with behavioral studies in rats or mice using models of psychiatric illnesses.
