Who You Will Support:

Your Role:

As a Technical Talent Acquisition Partner, you will be supporting Nike's overall Technology organization; working across all areas of the business (Ex: Digital, Product, Sustainability, etc.). In this role you will provide full life-cycle recruiting, develop strategies to source and attract talent, as well as create and sustain effective methods and processes to strengthen the most innovative and qualified candidates to Nike at the right time.

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field. Two years of additional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Minimum 3 years of full cycle Technical Recruiting experience in a high-volume, metrics driven organization.

  • Experience in an Agile environment, participation in sprints, or Agile TA model highly desired.

  • Prior exposure to and participation in catalyzing organizational change preferred.

  • Experience with Taleo and Avature preferred.

VIEW JOBS 3/22/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-20T00:00 Position description * Incumbent may work either in our Beaverton, MI or Gaithersburg, MD location* TheTechnical Buyer is responsible for the investigation, identification, qualification and procurement of new materials, components and services in support of the product design and development functions. The buyer will coordinate activities with designers and engineers to specify products that will maximize product design performance, cost effectiveness and project timelines. He / she will develop the strategic sourcing of new and common raw materials in coordination with technical team and the central Purchasing team to support all R&D projects and new product development across several manufacturing sites. The Technical Buyer will work in Coordination with the central team to make sure all developments are aligned with the Global Sourcing Strategy for the key raw materials and suggest new potential suppliers that can support innovation after proper evaluation. In this role, the Technical Buyer will support the product development teams across numerous sites and during all phases of the product development life cycle. He / She will make sure the preferred suppliers for the main raw material categories (i.e.: Silicone) are used in NPD, will support the identification of new suppliers to support the development teams as well as support the collection of market intelligence, establish contract / NDA to secure the business, negotiate, evaluate suppliers, support supplier value added/value engineered activities, ... The technical Buyer will focus on the priorities set by the business. The employee will need to comply will the ICRF rule, the Saint-Gobain purchasing process which includes the use of Digital Purchasing and comply with the SR programs. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Material Sciences, or related field is required. * Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement in a regulated industry supporting new product development for custom manufactured products. * Computer skills necessary to fulfill requirement of position, including but not limited to MSOffice products, QAD, etc. Must be very proficient in Excel. * The ability to read engineering drawings and specifications. * Experience utilizing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, clear understanding of procurement best practices. * Demonstrated abilities in communication (both verbal and written), organization, and persuasion are essential.
