Job Title: Technical Recruiter
Location: Quantico, VA
The Technical Recruiter must be very skilled at finding hirable candidates to meet ALEX's talent needs. This position requires the Technical Recruiter to be knowledgeable of and active on social media forums, attend career fairs, make cold calls, and use any other creative methods they can conceive of to locate qualified individuals. A charismatic personality and the ability to act as a "brand" ambassador for ALEX is required.
Detailed duties include:
Full life cycle recruiting for open billets and proposals from sourcing to close, including conducting phone and/or personal interviews, checking professional references, offer negotiation, and maintaining employee relations. Specifically, will conduct in-depth interviews of potential candidates, including verifying technical skills and capabilities, and demonstrating ability to anticipate hiring manager preferences through high interview-to-offer ratios. Interview candidates within the framework of the position specification. Screen, interview and prepare an ideal candidate slate within an appropriate and consistent timeline.
Build and maintain network of potential candidates through proactive market research and on-going relationship management techniques.
Recommend ideas and strategies related to recruitment that will contribute to the long-range growth of the company and deliver the highest quality results to the customer.
Work with Business Development and Capture professionals to determine appropriate salary ranges and help negotiate compensation with candidates.
Participate in special projects/recruiting initiatives including assessment of best practices in interviewing techniques, leveraging of internal sources of talent, and identification of top performers for senior-level openings.
Provide input and advice to management for new or existing, but currently underutilized recruiting websites, resources, and branding and marketing strategies.
Manage online postings to attract qualified applicants for vacancies.
Effectively review job descriptions and analyze client requirements in order to understand the needs of the hiring manager and technical skills required.
Proactively source and identify professionals through various sourcing engines, social media sites and internal recruiting database.
Schedule candidate security pre-screens, phone and in-person interviews and new hire onboarding.
Prepare recruitment materials, including position descriptions (PDs), job analyses, interview questions, vacancy announcements, etc.
Offer creative solutions to recruiting obstacles and process changes.
Partner with hiring teams to build effective sourcing, assessment, and closing approaches to meet hiring demand.
Articulate in writing recruiting plans with deliverables, timelines and a formal tracking process.
Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant (OFCCP) applicant tracking system (Taleo) data entry
Maintain talent acquisition metrics and hiring goals
Participate in the execution of strategic TA initiatives
Manage niche hiring at all levels across verticals & technologies - including senior & middle level leadership hiring.
3+ years of experience recruiting, preferably in the staffing industry, successfully performing the functions listed in the Detailed Duties above. Will consider equivalent experience in high-volume recruitment environment for staffing industry experience.
Specific experience and knowledge to handle hard to fill roles (examples include Data Scientists, Java Developers, Cybersecurity and Cloud Architecture professionals, and candidates with security clearances from Public Trust to Top Secret/SCI).
Direct experience with applicant tracking systems (Taleo experience is a plus) and adhering to OFCCP and EEO regulations while recruiting at a high-volume level.
Experience sourcing candidates via various creative methods to include, but not limited to, working your personal network, Indeed, LinkedIn, ClearanceJobs.com, and other online sources.
Expertise with networking, bringing a wide network of exceptional talent in the information technology field, and maintaining and mining that network for new candidates.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field highly preferred. Relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
