Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Technical Proposal Writer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, writing, and editing complex technical proposals for federal government contracts.

This role requires a thorough understanding of federal acquisition processes, excellent writing skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce compelling proposals. Key Responsibilities: Develop, write, and edit technical proposals in response to federal government RFPs, RFIs, and other solicitations.

Collaborate with subject matter experts, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure accurate and complete proposal content. Analyze RFP requirements to develop compliant and compelling proposal outlines, themes, and strategies. Create and maintain proposal templates, past performance databases, and other proposal resources.

Ensure all proposals are compliant with RFP requirements and company standards. Edit and proofread proposal content for clarity, grammar, and technical accuracy. Coordinate and manage proposal schedules, deadlines, and deliverables.

Participate in proposal reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve the quality of proposal submissions. Stay updated on industry best practices, trends, and federal acquisition regulations. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical proposal writing for federal government contracts. Proven ability to write clear, concise, and persuasive technical content. Strong understanding of the federal acquisition process and government contracting.

Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and proposal management software.

Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Shipley proposal development processes. Knowledge of IT services, management consulting, or technical support in a federal contracting context. Previous experience working in a government contracting company based in the DMV area.
