A Technical Project Engineer job in Huntsville, AL 35806 is currently available at Belcan. As a Technical Project Engineer you will support management of Line of Balance (LOB), tracking of specific components, ensuring Work Orders are accurate and complete, driving resolution to non-conformances (NCs), and identifying design and/or process changes, all to enable an increase in combustion devices build rate.
Job Duties:
Establishing and maintaining a Line of Balance
Executing to a plan and schedule to maintain expected progress on the hardware
Ensuring appropriate cross-functional engagement to allow hardware to progress per plan
Ensuring Work Orders are accurate and properly prioritized to support the build cadence
Providing daily status on the hardware/components owned and determining next steps
Ensuring non-conformance are dispositioned in a timely manner to prevent stoppage of work on hardware
Facilitating the removal of blockers that would prevent hardware from making progress
Identification and mitigation of risks, including removal of blockers or escalation of issues
Servicing additional assignments, as deemed necessary by the IPTL
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Excellent communication/presentation skills, ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
Proven experience in Engineering Corrective Action, Manufacturing engineering, Project management, and Leadership
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive initiatives to successful completion. Individuals will need to collaborate with engineering, ops leaders, supply chain, production planners, and MEs.
Experience with risk assessment and ROI analysis.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Creo View and Windchill experience Understanding of Rocket Engine subsystems and their integration into the manufacturing process.
Knowledge of Quality Processes (NDI, Blue Light, X-Ray, CMM,ETC)
