Responsibilities:
Plan the project execution, project planning documents: schedule, PSR, master budget, forecast, and invoice schedulesConducts project planning and weekly status meetingsMonitors and manages project processAdministers subcontracts and approves vendor invoices; reviews subcontractsCoordinates site/go-live supportCoordinates spare parts, training and project documentationManages project close-out which include turnover to Customer Service and final paymentsManages Change Requests/OrdersAssists with managing the creation and execution of commissioning plans, acceptance testing and customer sign-offsAttends the following meetings: turnover, kick-off, project planning, installation kick-off, project planning, installation kick-off, and departmentalAttends or conducts weekly project status meetingsAttends design reviews, customer design reviews and approvalsAssesses contract documents and PRDUpdates schedules/forecasts; manages costsCreates notes for and attends Operations Planning MeetingsTravel onsite for Kick off, Testing support and Go-live supportMay be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned25 Schedule and Milestone development/mgmt 30 customer relationships 15 Risk/OPP development and management 15 Project Performance 10 Budget analysisYOU MUST HAVE* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering * Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business discipline or related field * 5-8 years of Project Management experience * Ability to anticipate, size, and mitigate risk * Comprehensive computer application skills MS Office products (Excel, Word, MPP, SharePoint)* Cross functional team management experienceKnowledge of contract language and accounting functions * Excellent written, verbal communication, and facilitation skills * Experience working with multiple teams, both internal and external * General knowledge of Material Handling Equipment, Warehouse Management * Ability to think analytically; uses judgment and decision making; requires analyzing information and using logic to address work-related problems; considers the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate oneWE VALUE*

You are also responsible for timely delivery of quality project outputs while performing appropriate scope management. You will manage the overall timeline for the project, managing issues and risks, and communicating project status to project sponsors and upper management. We require a Technical Project Manager who has strong leadership, excellent communication, and "hands-on" project management skills, as well as proficiency in motivating and leading others through vision, strategic positioning, and leadership characteristics. You provide a single point of contact for projects and take projects from original concept through final implementation. You facilitate definition of project scope and objectives with a team, and oversee/coordinate all aspects of project, plan and direct schedules as well as project budgets. You will provide Agile mentoring and coaching for the team to develop an iterative, continuous approach to feature delivery and team workflow. You are great at: * Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, budgets, and status reports. * Conduct project meetings/standups and is responsible for project deliverables. * Manage the integration of vendor tasks, and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables. * Recommend/take action to direct the analysis of and solution to problems. * Provide visibility to team impediments/risks and helps eliminate them * Break projects into measurable milestones * Help team achieve project goals while partnering with the Product Manager on overall business goals * Facilitate planning, daily stand-ups and retrospectives * Provide visibility to stakeholders of project progress, impediments/blockers What it takes: * Minimum BS, CS or equivalent experience * 5 to 8 years of industry engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a management or project management position * Proven track record of successful project/program management of mid to large size projects * Agile project management training and experience required. * Experience with project management of several concurrent projects for commercial operations, security and service management. * Strong interpersonal and collaborative problem-solving skills required. * Excellent communication and people skill required. * Ability to organize, define charter, plan and create a team environment that will lead into a team motivated to deliver. * Effective facilitation skills for participatory decision making. * Knowledge of ITILL, Service Management, Release Management process an asset. * Experience with IT Operations (Network, Storage, Compute) an asset * PMP or Agile PMP certification an asset At OpenText we understand and value diversity in our employees and are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
