In this role, the Project Manager should be able to execute the activities and functions of the Project Management office and manage a customer projects as a Project Manager. Experience working in a PMO role before, strong experience in executing projects as a project manager, Microsoft Project Server knowledge, passion for process improvement and strong communication would be important for this role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Project Manager may work on multiple projects at once and should be comfortable juggling and prioritizing a variety of tasks on each project. This position requires some travel generally during the planning and execution stages, and again during the training and rollout phases of work.
In addition to the typical Project Management responsibilities this role will:
Identify and execute continuous improvement projects to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Professional Services operations
Maintain high customer satisfaction (both internal and external) through successful and timely project management. Typically manages multiple projects at one time.
Use existing data and tools to identify opportunities to drive better revenue, utilization and margin for Professional Services operations
Manage the Project Governance process and PMO metrics
Oversee the weekly process compliance processes and follow up with team for resolution
Provide support and resolution to the team on Process, methodology and PM tools
Required Skills / Attributes:
Degree in Project Management, Telecommunications or Engineering
PMP certified preferred
Strong experience in leading large software projects across the entire project life cycle
Working Experience of being part of a PMO or PS Operations
Microsoft Project Server and Microsoft Project experience
Strong communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills and influencing skills
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Technical experience in the cellular of telecommunications industry
Desirable Skills / Attributes:
Intermediate knowledge of cellular RAN networks UMTS (3G) and LTE (4G)
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and maintain high performance
Ability to work independently at a fast pace in a multi-tasking environment and maintain a positive and effective attitude and demeanor.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with technical & non-technical teams
