Genesis10 is currently seeking multiple IT Project Managers to work in Dallas, TX on a long-term contract supporting our banking industry client.

Summary:
Responsible for using best practice PMO methodology to create a project plan to fit the stakeholder's/sponsor's needs and deliver on desired outcomes. Use Project Management tools to manage projects (task plan, resources, budget, schedule, status reports, risks, issues, etc.)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop integrated baseline project plans applying estimating models, identify resources and skills required, document estimating assumptions, refine plans and manage performance against them.

  • Recommend best solutions based on understanding of business issues.

  • Provide task-based schedule and cost forecasts and assist in assessing risk-based provisions.

  • Capture and track program metrics and perform analysis.

  • Manage project scope by assessing requirements changes, determining and conveying impact on budget, time and risk.

  • Manage client expectations, anticipates operational and tactical risks and tracks them.

  • Clarify, identify, and track requirements and issues, remove barriers, resolve minor project issues and escalate to immediate manager where required.

  • Manage project closure initiatives, such as client satisfaction survey and closure analysis.

  • Document and archive project activities, deliverables, tools and findings for future projects

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of direct technology related Project Management experience.

  • Recent experience running agile projects

  • Experience with CA PPM (Clarity) is preferred

  • Experience with financial management of projects

  • Experience managing projects using the software development lifecycle

  • Must have excellent organization and planning skills

  • Ability to run multiple projects simultaneously

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in IT related field). Equivalent experience is acceptable in lieu of education.

  • Advanced MS Project and MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) skills.

  • Banking/Financial Services preferred

  • Visio skills are a plus.

  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proven ability to develop project plans, manage individual deadlines and goals.

  • Knowledge of project metrics, including gathering, reporting, trend analysis, creation, and metrics.

  • Ability to identify issues and problems, generate solutions and choose appropriate alternatives using basic root cause analysis.

  • Highly organized with good time management & prioritization skills.

  • Customer service orientation, and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Analytical thinker with creative problem solving skills and attention to detail

  • Able to work as a W2 employee of Genesis10 (no Corp-to-Corp)

Desired:

  • PMP or other project management related certification preferred.

You are great at: * Developing detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, budgets, and status reports. * Conducting project meetings and is responsible for project deliverables. * Managing the integration of vendor tasks, and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables. * Recommending/taking action to direct the analysis of and solution to problems. * Providing visibility to team impediments/risks and helps eliminate them * Breaking projects into measurable milestones * Helping team achieve project goals while partnering with the Product Manager on overall business goals * Facilitating planning, daily stand-ups and retrospectives What it takes: * Minimum BS CS or equivalent experience * 2 years of industry engineering experience, with at least 1 to 2 years in a management or project management position * Proven track record of successful project/program management of mid-sized projects * Agile project management training and experience required. * Experience with project management of several concurrent projects for commercial operations, security and service management. * Strong interpersonal and collaborative problem-solving skills required. * Excellent communication and people skill required. * Ability to organize, define charter, plan and create a team environment that will lead into a team motivated to deliver. * Effective facilitation skills for participatory decision making.
