What you will do:

As a technical project manager at Gallup, you will work in a highly collaborative and agile environment. You will brainstorm, determine project phases, communicate, and lead and manage projects through to completion, ensuring deadlines and requirements are met for some of Gallup's most influential and important projects. From managing a custom software development project that helps others maximize their potential to delivering technology that helps leaders build engaging workplaces, you will partner with some of the brightest, most innovative and engaging stakeholders, developers, designers and QA associates in the industry. What you need:

  • Bachelor's degree in CS, MIS, business or related field, plus a minimum of three years of professional technical project management experience working with large-scale web applications required

  • For applicants without a bachelor's degree, five years of technical project management experience required

  • Excellent organizational skills to juggle competing demands and to ensure development and implementation of proper systems and processes in an agile environment

  • Ability to spot potential risks and troubleshoot solutions that lead to better outcomes

  • This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship

A "DAY IN THE LIFE" typically includes: * Evolving the Project Management Office by collaborating on the design of PM best practices and being a key contributor of building out our portfolio of PMO services. * Providing leadership and direction on medium to large sized projects for Werner's Technology department (ITS/ISS) and ensuring progress through to completion. * Recommending new Project Management & Portfolio strategies and contributing to the overall success of our transformation efforts. * Creating and maintaining essential project artifacts which are well documented and provide value to the organization. * Enjoy working in a collaborative & supportive TEAM environment focused on making a difference and driving value! Is receptive to and independently acts on feedback * Ability to interact with and communicate information interactively with project team members and stakeholders at all levels of the organization. * Ability to plan and prioritize deliverables and tasks into an overall project plan. * Analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills * Knowledge of IT software development (SDLC) methodologies and processes * Knowledge in the technology domain (IT Operations and Infrastructure, Database, Network, Server Administration, Open Systems, Application Development etc.) What will put you ahead: * Has solid understanding and working knowledge of Scaled / LEAN Agile Framework methodology (such as Agile roles, artifacts, processes, and ceremonies of Scrum and Kanban) * Proficient in project management tools (e.g. Microsoft Project, SmartSheet, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, MS Office Suite) * Proficient in JIRA and Confluence; and has the ability to create/design in the Atlassian suite * Demonstrated leadership versatility and EQ with the ability to recognize and adapt leadership style to maximize results * Experience implementing large/enterprise scale application/platform projects * PMP, CSM, SPC, or other Project Management/Agile certifications * Navigate executive-level collaboration & communication, understanding their needs, and balancing conflicting points of view * Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, related field or equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements. * Five plus years of project or program management experience with an emphasis on technical capabilities preferred * Project Management Professional (PMP) certification ideal, or ability to obtain a PMP certification.
