Job Description:

Our Cerner Technology Services team has an opening on our Corporate Systems Management team for a Technical Project Manager. The TPM is responsible for leading the overall definition, planning and delivery of security operation projects. This will include scheduling, managing resources and managing quality projects throughout the project lifecycle; ensuring that project roadblocks are dealt with and stakeholder expectations are managed and met.

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for leading and motivating the project team throughout the project, including working closely with project stakeholders, and managing project changes and challenges. Clear communication skills and an ability to work with all levels of personnel and management are essential.

Due to specific client contract requirements, this position requires that the successful candidate be a U.S. citizen. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience

  • At least 2 years of Project management work experience

  • Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position

  • Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in CS, MIS, IS, CIS or related field

  • Technical work experience

  • Experience with JIRA, VersionOne, or Microsoft Project

  • Security Operations project work experience

  • Application and infrastructure operations work experience

  • Agile software development lifecycle experience

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Expectations

  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations

  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope or position

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
