Summary

Our Technical Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific IT projects ensuring consistency with the ECI's IT strategy, service level commitments, and goals. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. This role will work with a variety of people across ECI to perform their job and therefore strong communication skills are a must.

Essential Functions and Other Important Duties

  • Essential Functions:

  • Conducts meetings with all key stakeholders for Project Kick-offs and overall project plan introductions.

  • Records detailed customer requirements, constraints, and assumptions with stakeholders to establish the project deliverables.

  • Defines and documents project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

  • Develops full-scale project plans and associated project & communication artifacts.

  • Communicates project expectations to project team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

  • Estimates the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.

  • Sets and continually manages project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.

  • Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path.

  • Plans and schedules project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.

  • Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.

  • Manages project risks, including the development of contingency plans.

  • Monitors overall progress and burn rate of resources, initiating corrective action where necessary.

  • Applies change control and configuration management processes as needed.

  • Meets with stakeholders and project members to assure the overall direction and integrity of the project.

  • Conducts a post-mortem / retrospective on Projects after Delivery to identify areas for improvement.

  • Prepares any follow-on action recommendations.

  • Ensures customer satisfaction through post-project debrief with customer.

  • Technical Functions:

  • Ability to conduct in-depth technical discovery (able to discuss and analyze IT / Cloud Infrastructure, Microsoft & Network Technologies)

  • Coordinating & leading Go-Live activities (training, communication, Q&A sessions, Migrations etc.)

  • Spearhead compliance and security projects to ensure IT initiatives adhere to regulations and best practices, enhancing the organization's security posture.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to implement security measures, conduct risk assessments, and develop contingency plans.

  • Additional Duties:

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or Business Administration and at least five years of project management experience working in a customer service-oriented environment including all aspects of process development and execution.

  • Or any combination of related education, experience, certifications and licenses will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job.

Core Competencies:

  • Knowledge of the PMI or equivalent project management methodology

  • Knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools

  • Knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and IT Service Management (ITSM)

  • Strong knowledge of the terminology, principles, and methods utilized within the Information Technology field.

  • Competent and proficient understanding of business solutions, such as Document Management, CRM, Business Web Technology etc.

  • Knowledge of project risk management techniques

  • Knowledge of Project / Portfolio Management software tools and templates, prefer knowledge in Jira, SmartSheet.

  • Knowledge of general business fundamentals

  • Skill in utilizing computer hardware, software tools, applications and techniques to meet user requirements.

  • Skill in organizing resources, establishing priorities and establishing schedules.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to form and maintain effective relationships with co-workers and customers.

  • Ability to create a collaborative and inclusive environment by acknowledging the differences, perspectives, and ideas of others

  • Ability to adapt to diverse personalities and varying demands while serving customers

  • Strong presentation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to maintain an awareness of potential interdependencies with other projects and their impact

  • Ability to adapt and apply appropriate technical and quality strategies and standards

  • Ability to direct and coordinate project team members without any supervisory authority over individuals.

  • Ability to communicate technical solutions with language easily understood by all levels of the organization

  • Ability to listen to customers' needs and help formulate project requirements.

  • Ability to concurrently manage multiple deadline-driven tasks and projects

  • Ability to analyze complex problems, interpret operational needs, and develop integrated, creative solutions
