Work you will do

  • Partner with product, analytics, and data engineering in interpreting business requirements and API specs and converting them into a requirements document.

  • Project manage and drive all aspects of implementation with partner from instrumentation, validation, dashboard creation and ongoing maintenance.

  • Cross-functional project management and collaboration.

The Analytics & Cognitive team leverages the power of data, analytics, robotics, science and cognitive technologies to uncover hidden relationships from vast troves of data, generate insights, and inform decision-making. Together with the Strategy practice, our Strategy & Analytics portfolio helps clients transform their business by architecting organizational intelligence programs and differentiated strategies to win in their chosen markets.

Analytics & Cognitive will work with our clients to:

  • Implement large-scale data ecosystems including data management, governance and the integration of structured and unstructured data to generate insights leveraging cloud-based platforms.

  • Leverage automation, cognitive and science-based techniques to manage data, predict scenarios and prescribe actions.

  • Drive operational efficiency by maintaining their data ecosystems, sourcing analytics expertise and providing As-a-Service offerings for continuous insights and improvements.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ yrs experience working as a project manager or program manager in a technical environment.

  • Deep understanding of database architecture, analytics, and visualization.

  • Track record of leading large cross-functional teams.

  • Experience with both traditional waterfall and agile development methodologies.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Self-starter.

  • Travel up to 10% annually.

  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

SVP, Project Finance and Infrastructure Lead, HIMCO HIMCO is seeking an SVP, Project Finance and Infrastructure Lead (SVP, Lead), to direct their project finance and infrastructure investments, in support of HIMCO's $7B+ Private Placements portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced investor to manage and grow this asset class with an excellent firm. The SVP, Lead will have direct oversight for existing $3B+ portfolio across Project Finance, Infrastructure, Energy and Utilities. The SVP Lead will source and evaluate project and infrastructure finance investment opportunities in US and cross-border companies. The SVP Lead will underwrite and evaluate investment opportunities for the sector and participate broadly in overall sector investment selection including risk and portfolio management. This will include leading research and analysis of the companies; sourcing and making investment recommendations; evaluating value vs. comparable investments; negotiating legal documentation; and managing a project finance and infrastructure investment portfolio and leading and mentoring more junior members of the team. The SVP Lead, will report to the Head of Private Placements. This role is ideally based in our Hartford, CT office on a hybrid/remote basis; remotely based candidates will also be considered. Responsibilities: * Source and evaluate project finance/infrastructure, energy transition and other types of investments. This will include: * Sourcing investment opportunities via the project and infrastructure finance community; building, developing, and maintaining relationships with investment intermediaries as well as maintaining a strong standing in this community. * Conducting research, credit analysis and related due diligence on new investment opportunities and developing and presenting recommendations to the investment committee. * Working closely with the legal department, negotiating the deal structure with attorneys, investors, and senior lenders, and understanding and navigating legal documents, including occasionally, inter-creditor agreements. * Build and maintain a consistently strong investment track record over an extended time frame. * Lead the growth of the project finance/infrastructure portfolio both through performance and through new investments and distribution channels. * Participate in the amendment/waiver review and negotiation process for ongoing portfolio investments which may include credit restructurings or distressed situations. * Monitor markets and regulatory environment for trends that could impact investment opportunities or the existing portfolio. * Proactively share investment knowledge and mentor others to contribute to the development of the team. * Support Sales and Client Services related to existing clients and potential clients. Qualifications: * Minimum of 12 years of related experience in investment management, with a minimum of seven years' experience in private placements and a track record of successful investing in infrastructure and/or project finance; credit training experience preferred. * Demonstrated: * Ability to develop and work with financial models and projections * Proven track record in investing and managing private placement assets * Sound investment judgment and negotiation skills * Strong communication and networking skills preferably with proven relationships in the project finance & infrastructure community * Ability to lead and be a collaborative member of a team * Solid investment acumen in underwriting and structure transactions * Ability to lead and mentor more junior investment professionals * Ability to achieve desired results * Bachelor's degree required; MBA and/or professional/graduate qualification in an investment-related discipline preferred * Able and willing to travel as required About the Firm: Hartford Investment Management Company (HIMCO) is the asset management arm of The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc.
