Amazon Care Security, Risk and Compliance is responsible for managing the overall risk posture of the organization, including the careful evaluation of the security of the partners and vendors we work with to deliver our services.

Amazon Care is looking for a Security Technical Program Manager to lead the security evaluation and management of third-party relationships. You will dive deep to understand vendor security controls, compliance posture, and incident response. You will be the organization lead on security reviews of external parties and highlight areas of interest, flag opportunities for stronger security practices, and facilitate discussions with AWS Security.

You should be a technically experienced and innovative security professional who is able to communicate across technical and business teams and at executive levels. You should have the ability to handle a wide range of security and compliance requirements and translate those into processes and procedures for working with external parties. You will provide program reviews of external parties to Amazon Care leadership.

You will be expected to be strong in multiple security domains and apply security engineering best practices to the selection and management of third party services. You will need to have strong communication and analytical skills applied to lead projects, generate security metrics, and perform risk reviews.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.

  • Minimum of 3+ years of driving software development or systems engineering projects; preferably within a professional services firm or the tech industry.

  • 2+ years of experience designing and implementing secure application architecture and references

  • 2+ years of experience in managing various enterprise web services, SaaS, or PaaS providers

  • Experience communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience.

  • Prior working experience in a software development team.

  • Experience working with stakeholders across many functions.

  • Experience interpreting and communicating analytics

  • Experience working with stakeholders across many functions.

  • Understanding of exploit protection and containment of other advanced is desirable

  • An understanding of network and web related protocols (such as, TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS, routing protocols)

  • An understanding of Web Services

  • Experience with a programming language (such as, Java, C++, Ruby, Python, Perl, etc.)

  • Demonstrable teamwork skills and resourcefulness

  • Sharp analytical abilities and proven design skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Meets/exceeds Amazon's leadership principles requirements for this role

  • Meets/exceeds Amazon's functional/technical depth and complexity for this role

In this role, you'll navigate loosely-defined problem spaces and turn them into clear programs by considering the big-picture and driving execution across teams. You'll drive planning, prioritization, and program execution to protect network boundaries, keep computer systems and network devices hardened against attacks, and lead efforts to protect customer data and other highly sensitive information. You will establish relevant metrics and KPIs and consistently report status, risks, and budget with a high level of accuracy to stakeholders and leadership. Great people management and time management skills are key as you will interface with various functional groups, program/project teams, and other stakeholders across Apple to effectively resolve issues and remove barriers to program success. You will collaborate withDRIs and stakeholders to manage the activity plan,, resources, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure that project execution meets or exceeds established Program Office standards.
