SailPoint is seeking a Technical Program Manager to join our Product Engineering team and is passionate about delivering high business value capability to our cloud-based SaaS product customers. Responsibilities:

  • Drive effective programs and processes by forming relationships and strong partnership with cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of the programs are supported and delivered to the highest standards

  • Manage project/program plans, risks/issues, dependencies and schedule commitments to ensure alignment with the overall business strategy and the most efficient execution

  • Build and maintain program/project documentation and dashboards that communicate a comprehensive status to teams and key stakeholders.

  • Work closely with Product, Engineering and Customer facing leaders & teams to facilitate continuous delivery of complex requirements as executable work items and smooth production launch

  • Facilitate program/project communication including kick-off and launch events, milestone reviews and status updates as needed.

  • Facilitate risk/issue management and dependencies across the program deliverables and communicate their status to global teams

  • Engage with other teams in the company, representing the engineering group / program, forming relationships, helping find opportunities for collaboration and resolving blockers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent industry work experience

  • 2-5 years of Program Management experience in a high-tech organization successfully delivering large, distributed enterprise Agile projects

  • Exceptional track record of setting and achieving detailed program/project goals

  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills and makes data-driven decisions

  • High initiative and passion helping teams continuously improve program/project delivery.

  • Thorough understanding of SDLC from conception to production delivery

  • Development experience in Java based web applications and micro services is preferred

  • Effective delivery of products using Agile/Kanban development methodology using various tools such as JIRA, Github, Kanban is preferred

  • Experience delivering enterprise level customer programs/projects is a plus

  • Good understanding of Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google) and related technologies, monitoring and enablement practices such as Kubernetes, Docker, LaunchDarkly, ELK Stack, Datadog is a plus

  • Experience with Portfolio for Jira or other similar portfolio management tools is a plus

Whole Foods Market ("WFM") is seeking a talented Technical Program Manager ("TPM") who is passionate about being at the nexus of big-picture business outcomes, emerging technologies, and advocating for Lean/Agile principles and practices. This senior individual contributor will be a critical connector of the Whole Foods teams as the company continues to grow and scale in combination with Amazon. Technical Program Management: The Technical Program Manager will work across Whole Foods Market business and technology teams to gain alignment, develop requirements, and execute a common plan across multiple teams working closely with product managers, solution architects, and business stakeholders, among others. The ideal candidate will quickly establish the relationships and credibility to influence and motivate stakeholders at all levels without direct authority while asking the right technical questions and keeping teams unblocked. Issues, Risks, and Escalations: The Technical Program Manager uses expert judgment to anticipate business and technical risks, convey appropriate sense of urgency to all teams on the program, and drive issues to closure. Key strength in tactfully facilitating technical conversation and problem-solving across teams; documenting and following up on dependencies, issues, risks, and changes; skillfully navigating the organization(s) to "bring the right people" to the room; and escalating where necessary. Work Intake and Alignment: The Technical Program Manager will track incoming project, feature, and problem-solving requests from WFM and Amazon teams, partner with business and technology teams to ensure work has clear lines of ownership, guide the solution development, identify the highest-value work and dependencies, and contribute to forward-looking roadmap discussions and decisions. Community of Practice: The Technical Program Manager contributes to the enterprise Project Support Office and broader Agile Community of Practice with methodology evolution, knowledge library development, participation in project/program review processes, and evangelism of effective technical program management principles and methods across the enterprise. Responsibilities * Drive assigned program objectives and issue resolution – provide program management and define project plans, manage implementation activities, and develop processes, documentation and communications for program/process rollout and ongoing support. * Organizes, facilitates, and participates in workshops and meetings with WFM team members, Amazon partners, and executive stakeholders to gather inputs, deliver options, and drive decision-making or problem solving. Authors the meeting writeup and agenda as required. * Tracks incoming requests and diplomatically but assertively leads negotiation of competing priorities and interruptions with stakeholders on behalf of the program team, escalating where necessary. * Builds a solid understanding of WFM retail operations and business processes and articulates those impacts on a particular solution. * Work with WFM stakeholders and Amazon partners to understand the business requirements and translate these requirements into technical/functional specifications. Discover the true requirements underlying feature requests; recommend alternative technical approaches; lead development and engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines. Balance the business needs versus technical constraints. * Work with Product Managers, Solution Architects, and engineers to coordinate the technical development effort, track/drive the project, and manage the operational implementation process. * Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management and make tradeoffs; encourage risk-taking behavior to maximize business benefit; identify inter-dependencies between concurrent projects. * Communicate new/updated program, policies, and processes to leaders, stakeholders, and cross functional organizations. * Manage, prioritize and deliver multiple initiatives in partnership with cross-functional teams. * Manage day-to-day work intake, work plans, and resources without direct authority. * Create processes that enhance operational workflow and provide positive customer impact. * Drive the development of content and act as a key documentation stakeholder for the team. Required Qualifications * BA/BS degree and 8-10 years relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. * 5+ years applied experience with modern programming languages, development tools, integration patterns, architecture patterns, cloud platforms (i.e. AWS), web services, orchestration tools, and database technologies. * 5+ years applied experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver customer-facing custom software development projects (bonus for leading large programs with multiple sub-teams or workstreams). * 5+ years defining solution design and technical requirements for modern custom software projects as a Technical Project Manager, Software Development Manager, or Technical Architect (Solution Architect, Application Architect, Integration Architect, etc.). * 5+ years applied experience delivering custom software projects with Agile/Scrum, iterative, traditional (waterfall), or a combination. * 3+ years applied experience with financial and accounting concepts and software systems. Preferred Qualifications * 2+ years applied experience in the Retail industry. * 2+ years applied experience in eCommerce. * 3+ years experience in "Big 4" professional services firms managing large technology projects (e.g. Accenture, Deloitte Consulting, KPMG, Sogeti, etc.). * Agile certification in any of the following: Scrum Alliance (CSM, CSP, CST), Scaled Agile/SAFe (SA, SP, PM/PO, SPC). * Other project management certification: PMP, PMI-ACP, Lean, or Six Sigma certification.
