Responsibilities

About This Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Program Manager/Owner to join our innovation & GenAI lab team to continue and build the processes and technology supporting our innovation lab, with a focus on GenAI. As a Technical Program Manager/Owner, you will play a critical role in driving and managing strategic technology initiatives related to architecture. Your expertise in program management and ownership, development practices, architecture, and financial services combined with a sound set of technical skills will be instrumental in ensuring the successful execution of complex projects and initiatives.

What Makes You The Ideal Leader?

• Communicating up and down the stack -interacting with executives, engineers and architects, business groups and shared services

• Support building the Innovation Lab backlog and help in execute development activities.

• Keeping track of cadence of the team and providing visibility to leadership on impending blockers and challenges faced by the team

• Create a communications program for the Innovation Lab

• Prepare news releases when the innovation lab completes any assessments

• Recommend modes to provide knowledge transfer back to stakeholders upon completion of any programs

• Gather use cases and requirements from teams related to innovation and GenAI projects

• Monitor feedback, reviews & communicate back to the team

• Help provide presentations, wiki publishing, managing comm artifacts etc.

• Build and develop effective relationships with different product teams to find opportunities for reuse and promote usage of reusable services.

• Create an effective lifecycle process for innovation projects and think out of the box to deliver more with less resources.

• Help documenting and conducting presentations for technical, business and leadership audiences to promote innovation culture and GenAI.

• Lead the Innovation Lab planning activities across goals, OKRs, KPIs etc.

• Assist with change management activities for the team and beyond.

• Help design and implement workflows and other automations using low-code tools

• Champion the financials of the tech standards & reusable team, yearly budget, and ongoing financial planning

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and driving operational efficiency within the program.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing software development teams using a variety of programming languages and technologies.

• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills to collaborate with different levels of hierarchy.

• Strong understanding of software development practices and architecture patterns & principles.

• Nice to have: at least 10 years of background in application development using Java/.Net as a developer/technical lead or architect.

• Experience in managing teams/programs utilizing microservices and event driven architecture.

• Nice to have: Strong experience in managing REST API development and onboarding different consumers internally and external.

• Strong understanding and experience working with AI projects

• Substantial experience with cloud-related concepts & technologies, preferably Azure.

• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to create and manage program plans, budgets, and resources effectively.

• Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to drive consensus and manage stakeholders at all levels.

• Ability to Identify and understand technical dependencies between initiatives.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Bachelor's Degree in related field or additional equivalent work or military experience preferred

Experience

• 7-10 years IT project management experience required

• 3-5 years experience in relative technology roles required

• Financial services industry experience preferred

Licenses

• PMP certification preferred

• Scrum Master Certification preferred
