Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience in program management.

  • Experience driving AI/ML programs with a focus on language models.

  • Experience managing technical projects from a Business Intelligence or tooling perspective.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing cross-functional projects at a law firm, in-house legal/compliance department, within government, or a related industry.

  • Understanding of the fundamental concepts and techniques involved in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), and their distinctions from traditional software development.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across business functions and advise on Business Intelligence (BI) and analytics opportunities.

  • Ability to execute, prioritize, and influence multiple complex, rapidly changing programs involving diverse teams.

  • Ability to be organized and adept at designing and implementing efficient processes.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, even without direct authority.

About the job

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You will plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project life-cycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You will explain your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you discuss the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers. You will manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of the programs.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Support strategic business intelligence and ML/AI pivots across multiple teams in response to evolving business needs.

  • Manage project lifecycles, from gathering requirements and assessing risks to prioritizing features with stakeholders (business partners, engineering, etc.).

  • Identify and resolve cross-functional and inter-team challenges and use sound judgment to develop actionable recommendations.

  • Manage communication of objectives, progress, and project status both within the team and with partner and customer teams.

  • Design and implement scalable operational processes to enhance team efficiency.
