Technical Program Manager

We are seeking a Technical Program Manager who will be responsible for nurturing relationships with the Clayco Accounting and Finance Teams, acting as a liaison between those teams and IT. The Technical Program Manager will be responsible for listening, studying, and solving issues, challenges, and capitalizing on opportunities for Accounting and Finance while prioritizing the customer needs within the roadmap. The Technical Program Manager is responsible for the stewardship of mission critical technology solutions across the Clayco enterprise.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Build relationships with accounting and finance team members and other groups who interact with Accounting and Finance.

• Provide interactive sessions and focused meetings to work through solution planning and design.

• Understand and evaluate workflow processes for potential improvements solved by technology.

• Understanding and support stewardship of critical data across varying systems.

• Participate in testing and performance monitoring of accounting system initiatives.

• Gather business requirements and propose creative solutions.

• Translate business needs to functional user stories.

• Ensure quality of formal test plans for technology solutions based on business requirements.

• Function as primary escalation point for all issues and problems related to your product.

• Participate in managing projects for departmental initiatives as needed.

• Manage relationships with and provide direction to third party consultants engaged to help implement and configure technology solutions, customize vendor software, etc.

• Understand and support portfolio work in ServiceNow PPM.

• Coordinate with the other IT team members to schedule resources across Engineering, Security, Service Desk organizations.

• Prepare project plans along with estimations resource planning.

• Identify project risks and plan for their mitigation, contingencies, and production readiness.

Job Requirements and Competencies:

• This position requires solid people skills such as Empathy, Leadership, Listening, and Negotiation.

• Proven experience delivering Accounting and/or Finance process improvements.

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a corporate environment with focus on accounting systems, JD Edwards experience a plus.

• Ability to work, self-manage, and meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

• Strong, meticulous problem identification and remediation skills.

• Be able to communicate effectively with both business and technical departments.

• Ability to maintain and protect confidential and company sensitive information.

• Familiarity with Reporting and BI technologies (e.g., Hubble, Tableau, Domo) a plus.

• Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative (Think outside of the Box).

• Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude.

• Excellent communicator with the ability to guide the conversation to accomplish desired results.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to translate technical or abstract concepts into a narrative that is intuitive to customers.
