Position description

Under the direct supervision of the Shift Supervisor the Production Operator is primarily responsible for the efficient operation of duties and responsibilities assigned in the operation of equipment. These are full time positions. These openings are on 2nd and 3rd shift although training could occur on any shift.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or the equivalent

  • Previous manufacturing experience a plus i.e. production environment.

  • Able to operate independently and as a member of a team.

  • Able to read and follow SOPs, labels, and instructions.

  • Ability to use computer and internal software systems to input data

Additional description

  • Inspects and prepares product per SOPs

  • Threads and splices new material onto old, as required, and/or packages slits or handles material.

  • Sets up and adjusts equipment including, coaters, winding, finishing and other duties as assigned to maintain product quality.

  • Monitors equipment per requirements vs. schedule to assure efficient completion.

  • Records production and raw material usage manually and electronically per SOPs.

  • Cleans machinery, equipment and work area as scheduled and as needed

  • Communicates and cooperates with other crew member to maintain quality, operational efficiency and safety.

  • Identifies and labels hazardous waste materials for proper disposal.

  • Recommends and implements methods to increase the quality of products and/or services

  • Ability to serve on Teams for quality, safety, waste reduction and lean principles.

  • Participates in self-development activities and training of others.

  • Exhibits safety awareness and safe work practices.

  • Performs other related duties as may be reasonably assigned in the course of business.

  • Exhibits good environmental practices and procedures consistent with job(s) performed and EMS (Environmental Management System) requirements.

VIEW JOBS 2/7/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-07T00:00 Position description The Customer Experience Technology Specialist (CXTS) is a computer savvy individual with a high level of technical knowledge of varying platforms, systems, and processes. The CXTS must have the ability to look at software in relation to the impacts on the customer's experience. The incumbent will be tasked with understanding our current customer experience and how it can be positively or negatively impacted by the introduction of technology into processes. This individual will need to understand the importance of database integrity in terms of both efficiency and security to support a variety of web and digital platforms. The CXTS will be responsible for the data validation and integrity of customer facing product related data bases as well as the security of that data. In collaboration with the Customer Experience Manager (CXM), Customer Experience Strategist (CXS), and the Customer Experience Process Strategist (CXPS), this individual will be tasked with training internal staff on internal and external digital tools necessary for delivering an exceptional customer experience. They will also work with the team to help define customer service and sales support process change needs as they relate to new and emerging technologies and digital tools. This position is focused on North America and will report directly to the Customer Experience Manager. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS The position requires: * Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, IT, Technology or Entrepreneurial course work * 3-5 years of database management * 1-3 years SQL and Access experience * 1-3 years direct customer contact and communication The successful candiate will also have the following: * Excellent communiation, presentation and organizational skills * Ability to interface across functions and ability to influence without authority * Capability to work autonomously at times * Ability to teach non-technical people a technical process The following is strongly desired: * 1-3 years web design - UI/UX development * Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) software * Experience with MySQL and MSSQL Additional description This role with require working across manufacturing locations (Hoosick Falls and Granville New York) for all of Tape Solutions NA. It will have strong collaborations with the Marketing, MarCom and the Customer Care teams to meet the objectives for the business. Advanced knowledge of database structure and theory will be required to be successful. This position will also require 20% to customer's locations, trade shows, and key meetings. Essential Functions: Technology * Manage all customer facing digital platform back-end support and maintenance at the BU level, online order entry, sample order interface, PO/product/pricing look-up, and all other related tabular data in support of these online functions * Develop database management procedures to maintain the performance, integrity and security of databases including pricing and product guides, discount matrixes, user access/rights, and inventory data to be published to production databases including, internal databases, QAD, Salesforce, CertCapture, DocStar, PIM, and others as designed and/or implemented * Assist in the development and maintenance of process documentation on the creation and facilitation of digital tools * Develop digital training materials and lead training sessions for internal staff as well as external customers in accordance with company brand, voice and messaging * Daily monitoring and maintenance of system health and security * Create accounts for all users and assign security levels * Provide end-to-end technical support at the dba and network access level as well as provide problem resolution for external as well as internal customers on data corruption, configuration, and correction levels where a higher level of security access is required Customer Experience * Understand customer needs for functionality and usability of digital platforms * Lead the creation of tools, strategies and technology to delight customers * Tackle uncommon challenges that will help customers overcome challenges with new technologies * Lead internal training initiative to ensure staff is well equipped to support customer interactions on digital platforms * Provide frontline support to internal staff directly connected to customers using digital platforms when a heightened level of security or database access is required * Manage escalation path for customer reported technical issues * Develop online resources and tools that can be used to analyze business functions, productivity and redundancies Who are we ?
