Overview

PepsiCo Life Sciences is central to the Company's future and instrumental in innovation, communications, and strategic partnerships. This role will support the exciting and growing initiative of personalization and be part of the Advanced Personalization Ideation (API) Center team.

The API Center functions similar to a learning lab or start-up with the mission to deliver actionable and eventually profitable personalized solutions to improve the wellness of our consumers and employees, in a way that is fun and engaging. This role will primarily be responsible for the analysis of the data from the various pilots and commercial applications, uncovering insights to inform business strategy, increase understanding of our consumers, and improve the digital products (including machine learning and modeling).

The Product Sr. Manager will also contribute to the evolution of pilots to scalable projects as well as the ideation of new areas of personalization for PepsiCo. This role is expected to deliver thoughtful recommendations for new ideas/concepts based on technology trends and ecosystem activity relevant to PepsiCo's business needs.

The scope is across PepsiCo categories covering beverages and foods opportunities as well as new business models. This role is expected to work across various teams within and outside of PepsiCo to manage the project flow, timelines, and communicate any issues to the core API team.

The successful candidate will be based in one of PepsiCo's R&D locations, report to the Director of the API Center, and be part of the global Life Sciences organization with more than 100 people.

Responsibilities

  • Data mining and advanced analytics skills to conduct relational-analysis, categorizations

  • Collaborate closely with agile development teams around topics like security, integration, data modelling, app performance and more. You will support during the implementation of new applications as Scrum Master / Proxy Product Owner.

  • Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements, including using script tools and analyzing/interpreting code

  • Identify problems, analyze information, and make evaluative judgements to recommend and implement solutions

  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

  • Improve tool capabilities by introducing or incorporating the latest offerings

  • Improve cross-tool stability, scalability, and security using automation and integrating Pepsico prescribed platforms into the automation

  • Develop and leverage a comprehensive external network, ensuring exclusive access to

  • key external experts and continue to build a network of advocates

  • Institute, train, and maintain disciplined processes and systems to ensure effective execution and delivery of personalized solutions, emphasizing foresights.

  • Provide solutions to the unstructured data and data gaps

  • Help to deliver innovative personalized solutions to drive sustainable and profitable growth for the company.

  • Aid in the design of rapid prototyping to help pioneer the personalization space

  • Some travel required (~1-2 days/month)

Compensation and Benefits

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $114,700 - $192,100 based on a full-time schedule.

  • Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.

  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually.

  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (10 yrs experience)

  • Solid analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Experience in data analytics and Interest in maturing technologies such as Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence or Natural Language Processing

  • Proficient in cloud infrastructure, architecture & agile low code development methodologies.

  • Experience manipulating large data sets

  • Experience managing structured and unstructured data

  • Ability to assess and benchmark data solutions and suggest innovative solutions to complex problems

  • UI/UX development skills is an asset

  • 7+ years' experience in translating data insights to drive business growth opportunities.

  • Ability to work and communicate effectively in cross-functional teams while working together to meet timelines.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Flexibility and ability to work with diverse cultural backgrounds, personalities, and work styles across various levels of the organization.

  • Use scientific and technical expertise to identify and evaluate trends/ innovations

  • Proven communication skills with a strong ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical audiences
