  • Shakopee, MN (1804312) Where the Chemistry Happens We are seeking a talented professional like you to share your product and material technical expertise related to application, training, claims & complaints, and the construction industry. In this role, you will be the person most knowledgeable within BASF Construction Systems (BASF) regarding the use of our materials.

    You will ensure that any issues related to the application and field performance of our products is understood and communicated. You will have responsibility for all industries, brands, market segments and geography into which our products are sold. Support of our sales teams and customers is the paramount activity. Qualifications

  • BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent Formula for Success Demonstrating your product application and performance knowledge, you will ensure consistent quality exists for the product line, maintain a practical ability to apply our products, and inform the business of potential application and performance-related quality issues. Additionally, you will work closely with Sales teams, R&D and Business Quality departments to diagnose product complaints.

    Your solid experience in training will be a valued asset as you prepare, maintain and continuously present a series of off the shelf training seminars for internal and external customers in our targeted markets for our product lines. Leveraging your education and professional technical experience, you will provide customer technical support by making jobsite application inspections and recommendations, providing basic information in response to written/telephone inquiries, and conducting on-site classroom training. Your robust analytical skills will be critical as you conduct competitive product evaluation by establishing a key product list and obtaining and comparing published information.

    Successfully networking outside the organization, you will serve as the technical representative on associations, standards committees, etc. Working collaboratively with others, you will serve as technical support for sales representatives by making product application recommendations, coordinating testing requests, and providing training. Your commitment to customer service is essential as you will need to obtain a clear understanding of our customer's requirements and problems, propose solutions/new products to solve those problems, and participate in cross-functional teams to develop new products.

    Your In-depth technical understanding and extensive hands-on knowledge of industrial product applications will be critical as you conduct developmental hands-on product evaluation (managing field trials and making recommendations for enhancement or supporting release of product), in-depth application research and design, and application equipment development to improve product application.
