Technical Product Specialist

Eaton's FFD Fluid Filtration Division division is currently seeking a Technical Product Specialist. This is a (3 days in office/2 days remote) hybrid position will be based at our Chanhassen, MN location.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $65250.0 - $95700.0 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

This position provides technical and commercial sales project assistance supporting the external sales group and channel representatives and maintain product line responsibility for a specific product line.

What you'll do:

• Provide a high level of customer service and satisfaction to clientele through a representative and distribution network.

• Develop and produce professional proposal packages for systems sales to enable fast, accurate and comprehensive response to customer inquiries.

• Review commercial shipping requirements and documentation in order to assist shipment coordination across North American, European, and Asian business units.

• Review commercial and technical requirements of proposals, advising customer of conflicts and makes recommendations for changes. Elevate outstanding conflicts with potential order loss to management for review and further definition.

• Assist Sales & Marketing and the Company's overall effectiveness and efficiency through active participation in individual or team project assignments.

• Continually look for improvements in processes and procedures that will ultimately improve the quotation turn-around time and improve the quality of the quotation, with the goal of improving hit rate and generating more business.

• Keep job skills and market knowledge current through participation in field study, outside educational opportunities, and industry affiliations to provide maximum value to our customers, the Sales Group and the Company.

• Provide leadership to the engineering team to support the market development and sales teams sustain current and pursue new customers.

• Assist the Marketing Group on product brochures and literature as well as development of promotions and obtaining market information on primary product line.

• Set prices for inclusion in the annual price book.

• Prepare quarterly reports on product line performance, including but not limited to average price/margin per product, historical performance results, trends in the marketplace, new product suggestions and strategic placement of product

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Chanhassen, MN facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in the filtration industry.

Skills:

• Above average in math and/or science.

• Knowledgeable with personal computers/software.

• Basic understanding of technical terms and mechanical or chemical process.

• Commercial capabilities to cost custom engineered systems accurately and effectively so margins are understood during the sales process.
