Why Product at Vacasa
Our motto is to move fast and dream big. Vacasa is well-resourced and we're going places. Our culture is laid-back but our turnarounds are tight, so we switch gears quickly. You'll innovate and iterate, and your work will make an impact.
What we're looking for
As a Technical Product Owner at Vacasa, you will take ownership of products that are core to our business and shared across our lines of business. You'll apply your experience to build services and frameworks that accelerate our overall product development delivery. In addition to working with the engineers on your delivery team, you'll interact with your customers: all of our engineering teams.
You have a technical background, are capable of writing code (in an emergency), and understand how software development teams work, and how engineers think. You are the kind of person who enjoys thorny problems, wants to take charge to fix them, and you have the ability to understand and communicate complex technical and business systems to a wide audience.
What you'll do
Determine and prioritize features for our shared services
Create data models, write API specifications, and specify non-functional requirements for greenfield services that are used by all parts of the business
Work directly with your dedicated engineering team to drive tactical execution and ensure that our products exceed standards of quality
Accurately assess timelines and delivery schedules, and clearly communicate opportunities and risks to management
Create and maintain relationships with key partners and internal teams
Own product performance by setting success metrics and monitoring them to inform the future product roadmap
Define, manage, and evolve product strategy, roadmap, and vision
Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding
Skills you'll need
Experience working as a product manager, business systems analyst, software architect, or engineer
The standard set of PM skills: understanding markets, competition, and user problems in depth to articulate why and how we should build
Service-oriented approach to product management
Experience with software and system architecture, preferably in the cloud (AWS)
Experience with SQL and/or data modeling
BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
Experience with Jira in an Agile development environment is a plus!

401K retirement savings plan with up to a 6% company match
Paid sick leave and holidays
Career advancement opportunities
