Our trusted Corus360 client is seeking a Technical Product Marketing Manager in their Chicago office. The Technical Portfolio Marketing Manager demonstrates a market-driven ethos inspired by a deep understanding of customer needs, with an ability to translate technical information into portfolio benefits. This manager provides a commercial focus balanced with an ability to provide market and competitive insights to help shape the development and deployment of our client's Portfolio. This role will work cross-functionally, collaborating with product managers, solution marketing managers, sales, as well as external partners to fuel differentiated portfolio marketing strategies

Responsibilities:

Produce competitive analysis work within the team to develop insights on competitive product and portfolio differentiation, supporting portfolio positioning and market entry evaluations

Working with Product Management, support the prelaunch preparation, serving as an advocate for the customer, helping to influence and drive innovation in product teams as well as early and consistent involvement of marketing teams, sales people, channel partners, and customer success teams while driving launch to market success.

Working with Product Management, define launch strategy, support appropriate launch gates, conduct product launch readiness audits, post-launch monitoring, issue tracking and resolution plan

Oversee the translation of product features into business outcomes and value for our customers

Create briefs to develop product and solution demonstrations that highlight key differentiators in a clear and compelling manner.

Conduct virtual product demonstrations, evangelize solutions at conferences, and host thought-leadership webinars for current and prospective clients.

Deliver product and solution training to internal sales team, partners and customers

Serve as an internal and external evangelist for assigned products and provide subject matter expertise when working with teams

Environment:

  • This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong foundation in B2B product marketing processes. They must bring the product, sales and marketing teams together around a deep understanding of our portfolio and its competitive position in the market.

Scope:

  • Individual contributor role. Reports to Head of Technical Portfolio Marketing.

Impact Decision Making:

  • Accountable for shared KPI related to marketing contribution to revenue, customer revenue retention & Lifetime Value and market adoption of existing products into new markets

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of technology product management or product marketing experience, preferably in a recurring services business model

  • Passion for technology: enterprise could applications, big data and the platform economy

  • Significant experience in market launching differentiated solutions that target multiple enterprise contacts

  • High motivation level and appetite for fast-paced team environment; readily adaptable to changing market and organizational requirements

  • Analytical and cross-functional - drives goal alignment and collaborates effectively across the organization and within cross-functional teams (sales, product management, R&D, Services

  • Extensive business acumen and knowledge of root cause analysis and problem detection

  • Experience working with technology products that have targeted developers with a cloud-based platform and services.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and influencing skills

  • Proven experience persuading both internal and external individuals on the value of a solution

  • Ability to perform in a matrixed and global organization

  • Inspiring leader, enjoys to lead teams through times of transformation and developing people - fun to work with

  • Ability to travel 25%
