WANTED: A qualified Technical Product Manager (TPM) who will be responsible for highly complex Training Systems and sensor simulations that deliver cutting edge simulation environments for military operators.

As a Technical Product Manager (TPM) you will:

  • Have an opportunity to work with the Training Systems that immerse operators through the use of simulations of Communications, RADAR, Electronic Support Measures (ESM), Weapons, Acoustics, and aerodynamic models to provide mission readiness in immersive environments.

A week in life of a Technical Product Manager :

  • As the focal point for technical steering, you will work to coordinate the technical and managerial elements of the Training Device delivery with engineers and team members of all types to solve problems and ensure success.

  • The TPM is not afraid of diving into the weeds, but is capable of summarizing for executive decision makers.

  • A Model Based Systems Engineering approach will be used to define, capture and communicate the technical solution which requires understanding of SaaS Platforms, HW/SW Integration, IP Video Distribution, SW Development principles and distributed training simulation.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Skills:

  • Bachelor's in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
Required Expertise and Application of

Skills:
  • 3-5 years successfully demonstrating delivery of complex systems or products

  • Technical leadership of a small team

  • Application of IT Technology to develop and deploy products

  • Technical in nature but able to explain and present detailed technical subjects and processes to diverse teams and non-technical leadership

  • Strong Grasp of industry standard task and team management tools

  • Knack for quickly understanding many different forms of technology to produce technical solutions

Additional Desired Skills:

  • DoD Contracting Lifecycles

  • Background with SySML and MBSE tools including Cameo

  • Utilization of TFS, Eclipse or other SW development and engineering environment tools

  • Understanding of Agile principles

  • DoD Cyber Security framework

  • Navy Distributed Training architecture

Clearance Required:

Secret with ability to obtain Top Secret

Primary responsibilities will include: * Development of System Safety Program Plans (SSPP) and Hazardous Materials Management Plans (HMMP) * Preparation of data packages and briefing material, with subsequent presentation to program reviews, and safety boards (e.g. NNMSB, FISTRP, SSSTRP and WSESRB) * Performance and / or support of Hazard analyses such as Subsystem Hazard Analysis (SSHA), Preliminary Hazard List (PHL), Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA), System Requirements Hazard Analysis, Subsystem Hazard Analysis, System Hazard Analysis (SHA), preliminary Operational and Support Hazard Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA), bent pin analysis / energy trace, and Safety Assessment Reports (SAR) * Provide technical expertise to the customer's System Safety Working Group (SSWG), Allocated Baseline Reviews (ABRs), and Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) * Develop Explosive Safety, Hazard Classification, and Qualification Program Plan * Generate and review system and subsystem requirements for safety * Evaluation of design for safety compliance * Evaluation of design for insensitive munition compliance * Coordination of flight test safety data and range safety requirements review and analyses * Development and interpretation of System Safety requirements / flow-down requirements * Conduct of safety check lists and inspections * Support to design and test readiness reviews * Review and influence of test procedures for safety * This position will require travel to support program requirements Relocation: * Relocation assistance is possible for this exciting position.
