VulcanForms is hiring a Technical Product Manager
Job Purpose
As the Technical Product Manager
Key Accountabilities
Drive and own all product change activities for a single line of a new or heavily changed product
Work as a liaison to Design Engineering to optimize Design for Manufacturing Assembly (DfMA)
Develop Gantt charts to set goals, track performance, and support the larger program timelines
Report to larger groups/Exec Team on status and present gap closure plans
Ensure all factory systems (ERP, MES, etc.) are validated and prepared for each transition and oversee the manufacturing validation from first article builds to full production
Develop and drive applicable PILOT builds during production validation testing
Drive supply chain readiness through bridging BOM to MBOM and coordinating schedule with Production Control & Logistics
Integrate, organize and drive results necessary to maintain timelines across Design Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Production
Qualifications
3+ years working in product development, ideally in highly technical products/materials
Operations/Lean knowledge and firm understanding of interdepartmental requirements as inputs to a successful large scale operation
Highly skilled in common industrial engineering tools such as error proofing, line balancing, OEE, takt/cycle times, workstation optimization, etc.
Ability to read and develop basic models in CAD including industrial simulation, design layouts, DfMA modeling, etc.
Preferred
Expertise in optimizing factory layout, flow, and complex buffer modeling of multi product lines
Experience in both 'job shops' as well as multi-line production systems at both low and high volumes
Proficient in both Statistical Process Controls (SPC) and Statistical Quality Controls (SQC) as performance measurement and feedback tools from PILOT through full production
