We are looking for a creative, empathetic, and collaborative Technical Product Manager to help us build software products that solve problems for our health plan members, employer clients, brokers partners, and internal business users.

Technical Product Managers at Gravie work in partnership Product Managers and other internal business stakeholders to understand the value proposition of our health plans, products, and solutions and work with engineering to enhance our digital solutions offering to bring that value to customers.

Technical product managers collaborate with Business Owners, Product Managers, Solution Architect, Engineering Managers, User Experience Designers, and EPMOs to leverage technology to create exceptional member, employer, and broker experiences that differentiate Gravie in the market. They are responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of technical solutions and products that streamline gravies business processes

You will

  • Be responsible for managing and overseeing the development and maintenance of technical solutions and products that streamline Health Plan Administration processes, such as claims processing, member eligibility and enrollment, Payment, EOB, etc

  • Work with Business Owners, PM (Product Managers), and other stakeholder to understand overall product strategy and product roadmap.

  • Participate in the strategic planning for products in the portfolio. Collaborate with engineering managers and solution architects to provide initial high-level estimates to aid in the formation of business cases.

  • Develop technology roadmaps that support product strategy and product roadmaps

  • Become the technology subject matter expert for Health Plan Administration, Claims, Eligibility and Enrollement and for the specific technical solutions, products, and business processes associated with them.

  • Translate business requirements into technical requirements.

  • Work with Solution Architects to define solutions that are viable and sustainable.

  • Decompose solutions into capabilities, features, and stories.

  • Ensure products requirements are sufficiently defined for the engineering team to develop and test. Write and organize technical requirements in a clear and concise manner for consumption by technical and non-technical audiences (e.g. business stakeholders, PM, UX, Dev, QA), internal and external to the company. Adhere to department-defined standards for requirements definition.

  • Bridge the gap in understanding between the business and technology. Ensure that technology product being built or the processes being automated meets the overall business requirements.

  • Test and validate products and services pre-launch. Support products and domains post launch.

  • Ensure that the final digital products meet customer needs and exceed expectations. Establish metrics and gain insights into user interactions with our digital products and solutions. Identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions to optimize the user experience.

  • Support backlog prioritization and trade-off decisions using a combination of data and business needs

  • Build strong partnership with PM, Business Stakeholders, Solution Architects, Engineering Managers, Dev Leads, UX, QA, and earn their trust as a representative of their best interests.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to our core competencies of authenticity, curiosity, creativity, empathy, and outcome orientation.

You Bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, Software Engineering, or Business Administration is preferred, or equivalent work experience.

  • 5+ years of experience as a technology-focused product manager, product owner, or business analyst in the area of Health Plan Administration, Claims Processing, Eligibility and Enrollment, Payment, EOB.

  • Experience with Claims Processing Softwares such as Javelina, PLEXIS, etc.

  • Experience with EDI and other document exchange protocols.

  • Experience integrating SaaS and custom applications using a variety of approaches such as REST APIs, event-driven techniques.

  • A proven track record of launching new digital products or major product features for consumers or internal business users in a fast-paced, agile environment.

  • Experience in developing web portals, mobile applications, third-party integrations, and business process automation.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels within an organization and with varying technical expertise.

  • Strong experience in creating robust product roadmaps and collaborating with engineering to estimate software projects.

  • A passion for solving complex and ambiguous problems.

  • Demonstrated expertise in creating highly usable and enjoyable user experiences.

  • Strategic thinking and efficient tactical execution.

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to quickly adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong experience with story mapping, requirement hierarchies and traceability, and defining capabilities/features and acceptance criteria.

  • Experience with data analytics and insights

  • Experience establishing metrics and using analytics frameworks to gain insights into how users interact with digital products to drive data-driven decisions to optimize user experience.
