The Finance, Risk, Data and Controls (FRDC) organization builds applications and provides technology solutions for corporate functions across JPMorgan Chase, including Global Finance, Corporate Treasury and Risk Management.
As a Technical Product Architect, you will lead business and technology teams in transforming and creating the next generation finance data and analytics solutions. You will collaborate with business partners, engineers and other architects across areas of JPMorgan Chase; as well as disciplines such as application, infrastructure, data and information architectures. You will operate in an agile product construct as the technical product architect for a product (or portfolio of products). You will own and maintain the architecture vision and horizon view for that vision.

As a key member of the Global Finance Tech Engineering & Architecture team, you will be responsible for designing, building and advising on the delivery of scalable cloud-native foundational data solutions. Specific day to day responsibilities include:
Partnering with business stakeholders to understand their needs and developing the future state architecture.
Partnering with technology teams to develop the future state: Work closely with a world class team of architects and engineers to deliver cloud-native data capabilities that will be used to inform key business decisions.
Developing and maintaining a multi-horizon roadmap. Coming up with the architecture for solutions, balancing the schedule needs, the roadmap, business and technology strategies; including overseeing the cost trade-offs.
Designing strategically while building applications that solve for real-world use cases. You will create logical designs, describe the deployment of the designs on a physical platform then build MVPs based on articulated designs, recognizing alternatives and proposing choices throughout the process.
Communicating the architecture to senior business and technology leaders.
Partnering with peers across towers and lines of business to plan and execute a comprehensive data roadmap.
Outlining engineering designs, best practices, guidelines and procedures, as well as repeatable and scalable frameworks to successfully manage large amounts of data, ensuring compliance with data classification requirements while maintaining data integrity and accessibility.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or a related field
Strong skills in Systems Design skills for individual applications (solution architecture) and across applications (enterprise architecture): Minimum of one year of work experience as a solution architect
Strategic thinker with passion for outlining and refining business strategy and business processes: Ability to iteratively bring structure to ambiguity
Strong ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with senior business and technology leadership, including ability to formulate and deliver engaging presentations that influence audience

10+ years' experience working in big data environment, working with structured, semi-structured and unstructured data
Sound understanding of various data solution patterns and when to use them: ETL/ELT, RDBMS, Normalization/De-normalization, Key-Value, In-Memory, Wide Column, Columnar, Graph, Text Indexing, Streaming, Messaging
2+ years' experience designing and implementing data solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS), using offerings such as: S3, Athena, Glue, EMR, Lambda, RDS, EC2, DynamoDB, Elasticache, Redshift
Strong software engineering and object-oriented programming skills with expertise in languages such as Python, Scala and Java; and open source frameworks/libraries, such as Apache Spark, Apache Airflow
Strong data architecture, data warehousing, data modeling and data manipulation skills, such as in SQL, Stored Procedures, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL
Knowledge of traditional big data systems, such as Hadoop, Impala, Sqoop, Oozie, Cassandra, Hive, HBase
Experience with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean
