IGN is looking for a passionate Technical Producer who is able to support everything from simple-to-complex productions, workflows, enterprise live encoders, and working alongside product and engineering on key projects. Minimal hands-on training is expected, otherwise you must have solid experience, as well as references.


What does that mean exactly?

The go-to person when it comes to technical setup and oversight for: live streams, whether an IGN production or syndication of a non-IGN event, tech needs for studio shoots, workflow implementation, etc.

Work with video project managers and coordinators to scope various projects and productions.

Work with external set, lighting, and production partners to negotiate and secure needs

Maintain infrastructure used for productions and post-production

Collaborate with metrics team to secure comprehensive metrics, using them as a tool in decision making.

What will get you in the door?

Ability to executive technical aspects of live and live-to-tape productions
3-5 years of Technical Production experience

Have worked or assisted in a technical role in online video media, TV, and/or at a game-centric company

Willingness to see everything through with the same passion, whether troubleshooting a capture issue or organizing an offsite production

Desire to seek out info on the latest video gear from cameras, control room equipment, remote capture gear, etc.

Experience understanding and creating plans to improve workflow efficiency.

Control room experience in being a technical director, playback op, audio engineer, etc.

Ability to work well with others in a collaborative, team environment

Able to to quickly recognize and troubleshoot issues

A positive, problem-solving attitude. A desire to learn

Patience and a sense of humor

Passion for IGN and/or video games

Have experience with productions at events such as E3, Comic-con, etc.

It would be extra awesome if you have

Have overseen project or production budgets.

Experience with maintaining media storage servers (e.g. Avid ISIS/NEXIS or Facilis)

Thorough knowledge of configuring and maintaining enterprise level live encoders

Strong understanding of emerging web-video technologies.

Experience managing video asset archives (LTO, etc.)

Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere experience

Responsibilities Responsibilities * Maintain web content using content management system (Sitecore). * Manage and publish content within content management system and related tools. * Work cross functionally to help develop landing pages and engaging user content for marketing campaigns. * Partner with various business stakeholders to work on content audit and updates. * Complete approvals and document process as necessary for content pre-publishing * Help maintain and evolve a content control process to ensure high quality web standards. * Report and document any issues in the content management system to help improve process flow. * Provide weekly report on project status and updates. * Monitor digital marketing initiatives for compliance brand standards, accuracy and compliance with WCAG. * Help ensure timely posting and tagging of content. * Basic image editing tasks with Adobe Photoshop, including cropping, resizing, optimizing for web, and other tasks routine for a content manager. * Provide extraordinary service to our clients – business units, partners. Qualifications Desired Skills and Experience * Bachelor's degree in a related field, including Marketing, Business, Technology, or Communications preferred. * 2+ years of professional website production experience working with a content management system. * Strong technical web production skills which include working knowledge of HTML/CSS. * Detail oriented and is able to prioritize and complete projects timely and accurately to ensure business needs are met. * A proactive approach to responsibilities and problem solving. * Proven ability to work on own initiative, meet deadlines, multi-task and work well under pressure. * Superior organization and time management skills to execute multiple projects with tight deadlines. * Attention to detail and accuracy is a must. * Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). * Have proven experience delivering website and, as a plus, SEO best practices. * Experience within financial services or other highly regulated industry preferred.
