Requirements
The Procurement Buyer will own the procurement of hardware for key programmes that support ZeroAvia's 2025 market entry target. The procurement buyer will lead ZeroAvia's purchasing and procurement, negotiate pricing and delivery times with suppliers and track delivery. The procurement buyer will also lead receiving, incoming inspection and inventory management.Main Responsibilities:
- Support the selection of suppliers and service providers, negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
- Draft and prepare request for quotations, purchase orders, other standard agreements and approvals in line with internal procedures
- Analyse Engineering Bills of Material, process, confirm and communicate requirements to the suppliers
- Negotiate deadlines/quantities and prices with suppliers
- Monitor the procurement and inventory management of critical components, spare parts, and materials to support production, maintenance, and repair operations
- Help the team to identify and mitigate supply chain risks, such as disruptions, recalls, or component shortages, to maintain operational continuity
- Continuously seek opportunities to reduce costs without compromising safety and quality, exploring innovations in technology, materials and logistics
- Monitor and report KPIs related to on-time delivery, inventory turnover, supplier performance, and cost management to measure and improve supply chain performance
- Collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams to align supply chain activities with the needs of the development programmes and operations
- Provide input to program management meetings and manufacturing supply chain reviews
- Oversee the progress and follow the flow of manufacturing on the supplier's site, manage order book and delivery receipts
- Measure and analyse supplier performance in coordination with the functional requirements and if their targets are not being reached, set up internal and external action plans in close cooperation with the stakeholders
- Establish and implement action plans to limit risks and ensure program objectives are met
- Track supplier progress ensuring on time delivery
- Assist with the auditing of supplier systems, review of control plans, special processes, first article inspections and conformity documentation
Experience:
- High degree of ownership of procurement, the ability to adapt to issues as they arise, and provide solutions
- Formal qualification in Engineering or Aerospace (vital)
- Commensurate experience in procurement/buyer role in the aerospace industry.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, proven in working in teams w/ technical and non-technical members and building rapport
- Flexible approach to work and a high level of drive and ambition to help achieve the organisations goals
- A genuine passion for clean technology and the future of electric aviation
- A high level of attention to detail and professional integrity
- Ability to work on multiple tasks with varying levels of requirements efficiently and effectively
- Demonstrated ability to understanding of Engineering Drawings & technical specifications
- Experience with ERP and MRP systems as well as with standard Microsoft Office applications.

- Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as good written and oral communication skills
- Excellent level of spoken and written English (additional languages a plus)
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a small team

Benefits
The wage scale or salary range for this position is between $120,000 - $170,000. In addition to the foregoing base compensation, additional compensation and benefits are available to employees and eligible family members (as applicable) including the following:
