The Role:

We're looking for a Technical Project Manager/Scrum Master with a strong background in Agile software development methodology. This role will help lead and support software development teams delivering innovative and inspiring solutions for our clients. We are looking for someone who is excited to apply broad-base technical, client-facing, and industry expertise to create practical solutions with the latest web, mobile, and cloud solutions and technologies. The key objective for this role is to remove impediments, enhance collaboration, and ensure that the team delivers value to the customer. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated ability to effectively coach a software team in an Agile environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Coach and mentor the Scrum Team on how to adhere to the Scrum Framework to the success of the project

  • Advise the Scrum Team on how to self-organize to negate dependency on external resources

  • Removing and mitigating impediments from the team's work

  • Creating a trusting and safe environment for the team to focus on solutions to challenges without the fear of blame and repercussions

  • Guiding the completion of the Sprint Goal in a way that empowers the team to hold each other accountable rather than dictating the work

  • Aiding the team with communication to increase transparency

  • Supporting and coaching the Product Owner in backlog refinement practices

  • Acting in a servant-leader position to assist and coach the team on ways to improve delivery of work

  • Promoting the Scrum Framework and educating client on adoption

  • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously

  • Project planning and management including; backlog prioritization, sprint schedule management and risk management

  • Project reporting including: providing status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership, and reporting on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities

  • Stakeholder management including; managing customer expectations for project deliverables, status meetings, and change proposals

  • Team management including; managing development team task assignments and holding team members accountable for commitments, coaching, mentoring, motivating and supervising project and program team

  • Participating in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature the capabilities for the organization

  • Monitoring, tracking and controlling outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables

  • 3+ years playing as the Scrum Master for software development projects

  • 2+ years using Agile ALM tools

  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.

  • Knowledge of various well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach(example: numerous Burndown technologies, various Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.).

  • Experience leading, motivating and managing various project and program team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performance

  • Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs

  • Interpersonal skills to influence and spur change, facilitate and enhance performance within a cross - functional environment

  • Able to clearly articulate concepts to people with varying technical background

  • Strong organization skills and an ability to manage competing demands

  • Listening and analytical skills to objectively evaluate and escalate complex project risks and issues

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team.
  • 1+ years of previous experience with gathering requirements from the client / business and documentation
  • 3+ years of experience with full product lifecycle with understanding of development lifecycle and various technology methodologies that support that lifecycle
