As a Technical Marketing Specialist you will be:

  • the subject matter expert of your product
  • on the front lines serving customers
  • actively listening to your clients so you can really identify their issues so you can solve their application problems
  • the trusted resource for your clients
  • part of something bigger, making a direct impact on the bottom line for both your employer and your client

You will also be responsible for:

  • updating & reviewing technical manuals, sales literature and training materials for existing products
  • the creation of technical manuals, sales literature and training materials for new products
  • using the analytical side of your brain as you research the market, industry trends and competitors
  • training the sales team on your product
  • 5-10 trade shows a year, traveling 1-4 at a time
  • contributing to department projects as they come along

Requirements

You will know you're a fit for a Technical Marketing Specialist if:

  • you are service oriented
  • you are highly technical
  • you are able to communicate your technical knowledge in a clear & vibrant manner
  • your default is to find ways to add value and be innovative
  • you are able to think on your feet to adapt to your clients and team members to come up with creative solutions
  • you relish public speaking
  • you have a high degree of integrity as you will be working work confidential information
  • you have a good grasp of MS-based applications, especially Excel, Word & PowerPoint
