Meraki Go is taking what Meraki does best and reinventing it for small independent businesses. We're applying a modern mobile app management approach to WiFi, Switching and Network Security. We're building tools and insight that help small businesses in their digital transformation journeys. The global market for small business networking is huge, with an annual spend of over $5B. By focusing on the customer and further simplifying the complexity of networking, we are building a product customers will love.

Day-to-day, you will be responsible for various activities, from funneling customer feedback into product design documents and collaborating with engineering on the resulting features, to investigating bugs and working with our global silicon vendors on solutions.

The product management team is comprised of individuals with a broad and diverse skill set. This is essential, as in this role you will be working with every department at Meraki. Your ability to tailor a complex technical message to a diverse audience will be critical. In one day you could be talking to hardware engineers, UX designers, lawyers, and sales people.

With speed and agility being important attributes of Meraki, teams are small with individuals capable of outsized impact. What you do matters, and with your team consisting of just a handful of people, you will see the outcome of your actions every day.

Why this job?

  • Are you looking for a career in Product Management? TMEs work closely with engineering and act as a customer advocate in influencing product direction. We'll invest in you and set you up to grow into a variety of roles, from Product Management, Product Architecture, Marketing or Sales.

  • Do you want to work on a high impact, high visibility program? You are here to challenge the status quo. Ask the hard questions and help build the right type of product for this customer.

  • Would you like variety in your job? You'll be working across vertical products, which will allow you to expand your knowledge of WiFi, Switching and Security and Mobile App Development. The role has both an internal and external facing element, so no two days will be alike.

As a critical member of the product team, your responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the domain expert and key technical advisor for the product and its current and future capabilities

  • Producing technical guides, best practice documents, application notes, and configuration and installation content for internal and external use

  • Working with Product Marketing to raise technical awareness of our products among our sales and channel teams

  • Working with engineering teams through design, testing, and product launch; running beta and pilot programs

  • Investigating and articulating our competitive positioning and strategy

You are an ideal candidate if you have:

  • Degree in IT, telecommunications or a related technical field

  • 2-5 years of work experience in technology

  • CWNA/CCNP/CCIE voice or above certifications are highly desirable

  • Experience in technical support, product testing, or QA preferred

  • Real passion for learning about networking, cloud, and emerging disruptive technologies

  • Strong user empathy with a deep desire to understand and solve top customer problems via beautiful UX

  • Easily communicate complicated concepts to non-technical folks

  • Ambitious with a can-do attitude with a strong sense of product quality

  • Love solving technical problems in creative ways

Bonus points for:

  • Experience configuring software tools (e.g. Jira) for project tracking and planning

  • Background working with development and testing of mobile apps

We know that technology can connect, empower, and drive us. Our mission is to simplify technology so our customers can focus on what's most meaningful to them: their students, patients, customers, and businesses. We're making networking easier, faster, and smarter with technology that simply works.

At Cisco Meraki, we don't just accept difference - it's one of our key values. Everybody In means we listen to each other's opinions. Everybody is accepted and valued here, and we are a team that works as one towards our goals. We recognize that diverse teams make the strongest teams, and we encourage people from all backgrounds to apply.
