Through the process of building new solutions, we foster a culture of innovation within PwC, extend brand relevance in the market, and generate new revenue.Our team is responsible for the research, collaboration, prototyping of products, solutions, and services for PwC New Ventures.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Directors and above

  • Be involved in the financial management of clients

  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients

  • Develop project strategies to solve complex technical challenges for our clients

  • Manage and deliver large projects by developing the project team, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team

  • Shape and deliver projects to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients and our own quality criteria

  • Train, coach, and supervise team members

  • Continue to develop internal relationships and developing your PwC brand

The Tech Lead team supports concept development, product planning/estimation, and works with the Product Management team to drive product development as a critical member of a product leadership team. The team is expected to have full stack development experience utilizing agile development techniques/methodologies. In addition the team is responsible for working with multiple disciplines within the software development lifecycle (UI/UX, Product, Management, QA Testing & DevOps).

  • Angular 5+;

  • Node.js;

  • TypeScript;

  • PostgreSQL; and,

  • Docker.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success in modern software engineering approaches, technologies, and tools, including the following areas:

  • Mobile/Web architecture tech stacks;

  • Languages runtimes NodeJS, Python;

  • Web Frameworks/Libraries such as Angular, React, D3;

  • GraphQL schema definition and service implementation;

  • Event-driven and microservices architectures;

  • Messaging patterns and queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis);

  • Polyglot Persistence including RDBMS (MySQL, Postgres) and NoSQL (Mongo, Neo4j, Cassandra) data stores and appropriate use cases;

  • Cloud-ready architectures utilizing infrastructure and platform cloud services for AWS, GCP, or Azure;

  • Containers & container management including Docker, Kubernetes;

  • Rapid-prototyping workflows and development tools;

  • Configuration Management such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform;

  • Big Data or Analytics or AI tools; and,

  • Cloud PaaS big data services: AWS, GCP, or Azure;

Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

  • Communicating, verbally and written, with both business and technical stakeholders to achieve product engineering objectives;

  • Leading across all aspects of a technology solution such as integration, data, services, front-end, back-end, network, deployment, scaling, security, performance and development;

  • Managing rapid-prototyping efforts with new and emerging technologies leveraging agile development techniques;

  • Designing successful technical/integration architectures for large-scale platforms with a mix of 3rd party vendor, open-source, custom software, including the documentation of technical assumptions and decisions;

  • Contributing to and managing incubators/innovation lab environments, and working with small teams across a variety of new and emerging technologies;

  • Working in an environment that leverages project management skills like planning and tracking, issue and risk management, multitasking, team organization, and activity prioritization; and,

  • Developing front-end, back-end, and/or systems administration applications with strong proficiency in at least one scripting language (Javascript, Python, etc.);

  • Working in a venture backed software startup developing greenfield products is recommended;

  • Demonstrating familiarity with Agile;

  • Demonstrating familiarity with Automatic Deployments;

  • Demonstrating ability to "Show by Example"; and,

  • Having the ability for some travel (20-40%).

About the Role: In collaboration with the VP of Engineering, Fooda is looking for a passionate engineering leader to grow our Popup and Food Hall businesses by increasing customer engagement and conversion rates.
