Supervision and management of laboratory testing operations and staff. May include ISO-17025 testing programs, ISO-17020 inspection programs, and/or ISO 17065 product certification programs depending on specific technical management role.
Specifically These Responsibilities Are To:
P&L responsibility for assigned laboratory operations
Training and authorization of laboratory personnel and maintenance of training/authorization records.
Receive orders from clients on submitted samples, follow up on job progress and report status to clients.
Make recommendations to Operations Manager on upgrading laboratory.
Manage laboratory's calibration program to ensure instrument accuracy.
Manage laboratory's correlation studies to ensure measurement consistency.
Assure compliance with Quality Management System policies and procedures.
Develop work instructions or SOP's as needed for laboratory-specific needs.
Perform testing and analysis and/or write test reports as needed.
Review test reports produced by laboratory staff to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Ensure lab maintains HSE responsibilities under the guidance of the corporate (FF) QHSE engineer, involvement in risk assessment, accident investigation, ensuring that HSE instructions are followed, where relevant.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
College degree in technical discipline and/or minimum 5 years direct operational/management experience in laboratory supervision. Familiarity with ASTM and other testing methods and a good knowledge of other US Federal regulations covering quality, safety and performance testing.
Must be able to meet the following performance requirements:
