Role Overview

As a function of Technical Service, the Technical Information Publisher is responsible for providing safe & accurate guidance for customers to operate and for service teams to repair our electric vehicles. This position requires an experienced professional with a solid background in automotive vehicle repairs, including ADAS, Body, Chassis, Electrics/Electronics, High Voltage, Infotainment, OTA Telematics, and Powertrain systems.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with key stakeholders to write, edit, and publish technical information such as Technical Training Materials, Service Bulletins, Repair & Owner's Manuals, Towing Instructions, Troubleshooting Guides, Wiring Diagrams and other service-related materials that support Fixed Right the First-Time service strategy. You must exhibit a can-do attitude to ensure deliverables are within specified budget and timeline.

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of our vehicles and the documentation requirements.

  • Ensure publications provided to the global markets, service teams and customers are technically accurate, easy to understand, and meeting regulatory compliance.

  • Review, edit and revise technical information prior to each publication for consistency, compliance, and comprehension.

  • Publish high-quality documentations that meet applicable standards and are appropriate for its intended audience.

  • Ensure consistent technical terminologies are used throughout the publication.

  • Develop effective Technical Training Materials with inputs from Aftersales, Service and Development Teams

  • Develop tutorials, online help and developer guides to help end-users use a variety of applications.

  • Analyze existing and potential contents, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities.

Basic Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • 5-7 years of technical writing, editing and publishing experience.

  • Superb proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications

  • Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to deliver high quality documentation, paying attention to detail.

  • Quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures.

Additional Requirements (if any):

  • Must be willing to travel both domestically as well as internationally, as required.

Salary Range for Job Posting: $85,000.00 to $103,350.00 per year.

Additional compensation: Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Fisker's equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.

Benefits: Fisker provides comprehensive medical, prescription, dental, vision, and disability insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Fisker covers most of the premiums for employees.

The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations. Fisker reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above.
