A Snapshot of Your Day
As a team member for resolving technical issues, you will find yourself working in an ambitious and rewarding position working closely with Region Service Units (RSU) and our customers. This position also involves significant internal collaboration across organizations such as Product Management (PRM), Engineering, Field Service, Repair, Supply Management, & Service Programs to name a few.The Technical Excellence Professional will support multiple product lines (Large Gas Turbines, Generators, Steam Turbines) globally and will involve issues identification, risk assessment, RCA, solution development, implementation planning, and field follow. There is also an opportunity to grow into the leadership role with more experience in managing issues!
A typical day might look like this:
Running and leading issues and customer specific task forces
Working with different product line frame leads on the issues
Reviewing status of various issues
Conducting fleet risk assessment
Interacting with team members or partner organizations like Service Programs, or Engineering on issue related discussion
Participating in meetings with internal teams or customers
Discussing with service engineering component leads on fleet findings
Discussing with management on funding and further plan for each issue
How You'll Make an Impact
Be a team member of technical issue resolution - RCA, mitigation & solution, stocking, implementation, communication
Reduce NCC's and help improve financials
Significantly improve customer satisfaction
Technical presentations to the customers on different issues
What You Bring
Bachelors degree in Engineering or related; 8+ years' industry experience.Proficiency in technical writing and conducting formal presentations.Perform well under pressure and meet deadlines on time!Teamwork skills: Confident in leading an expert team across multiple time zones with diverse cultures to answer technical questions and to perform risk assessments.
Intercultural experience/sensitivity.Networking skills: Ability to establish relationships and build networks in a distributed team setup and collaborate with groups across the organization.Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
About the Team
Team is global with presence in Orlando and Mulheim.Responsible for issues on all Large Gas Turbines and support Generators and Steam Turbines, as needed.
