Develops, designs and supervises the implementation of telemedicine and distance learning programs. Develops, designs, and produces necessary print, video, computer-simulated, educational and marketing materials for the Institute.
Develops, designs and supervises the implementation of telemedicine and distance learning programs.
Evaluates and selects appropriate video, computer and telemedicine technologies and material that support the Institute.
Serves as Technical Director for live videoconferences from the operating rooms and live broadcasts from external organizations.
Operates teleproduction equipment and edits videotapes using computer based editing system with computer animation graphics and digital effects.
Works with internal and external engineers to meet goals of the Cole Eye Institute.
Establishes and maintains a medical database for the physician staff that serves to integrate research, education and administrative needs.
Provides technical direction to the physician staff in the development of innovative and creative solutions that guide the development of the Institute at the Cleveland Clinic.
Plans and implements technology to advance the facilities educational programs.
Coordinates the audiovisual and publication requirements of all educational workshops and management development sessions.
Prepares and manages the capital equipment and operating budget for the Cole Eye Institute in regards to this function.

Five years' experience in telemedicine environment; strong medical communication skills required.
Experience in computer animation, graphic design and medical illustration, preferred.
Must possess excellent communication skills sufficient to effectively communicate technical detail and requirements into business terms.
Manual dexterity sufficient to operate equipment utilized to perform the job functions.
Good eye-hand coordination.
May require long periods of standing and walking.
Must have normal or corrected vision to normal range.
