Job Summary:

Develops, designs and supervises the implementation of telemedicine and distance learning programs. Develops, designs, and produces necessary print, video, computer-simulated, educational and marketing materials for the Institute.


  • Develops, designs and supervises the implementation of telemedicine and distance learning programs.

  • Evaluates and selects appropriate video, computer and telemedicine technologies and material that support the Institute.

  • Serves as Technical Director for live videoconferences from the operating rooms and live broadcasts from external organizations.

  • Operates teleproduction equipment and edits videotapes using computer based editing system with computer animation graphics and digital effects.

  • Works with internal and external engineers to meet goals of the Cole Eye Institute.

  • Establishes and maintains a medical database for the physician staff that serves to integrate research, education and administrative needs.

  • Provides technical direction to the physician staff in the development of innovative and creative solutions that guide the development of the Institute at the Cleveland Clinic.

  • Plans and implements technology to advance the facilities educational programs.

  • Coordinates the audiovisual and publication requirements of all educational workshops and management development sessions.

  • Prepares and manages the capital equipment and operating budget for the Cole Eye Institute in regards to this function.

  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Audio/Video Production, Communications or related field.


  • None required.

Work Experience:

  • Five years' experience in telemedicine environment; strong medical communication skills required.

  • Experience in computer animation, graphic design and medical illustration, preferred.

  • Must possess excellent communication skills sufficient to effectively communicate technical detail and requirements into business terms.

Physical Requirements:

  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate equipment utilized to perform the job functions.

  • Good eye-hand coordination.

  • May require long periods of standing and walking.

  • Must have normal or corrected vision to normal range.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 1. Develops social media content for Facebook and Instagram accounts to support marketing initiatives for numerous shopping center properties 2. Partners with leasing team to develop specific content to distribute through social media and print marketing channels for assigned centers 3. Researches potential partnerships, sponsorships and third-party collaborations 4. Distributes advertising decks to potential sponsors and local businesses in the community around SITE Center's properties 5. Partner with tenants to collect product offerings and share it in monthly digital newsletters to consumers 6. Tracks and coordinates pertinent data associated with shopping center marketing programs and prepares reports through the direct interaction and engagement with field marketing personnel 7. Assist in monitoring active marketing programs and developing ways to improve those campaigns 8. Assist Marketing Managers in managing Google My Business Accounts, website updates and Google Ad Word Campaigns 9. Responsible for coordinating sweepstakes material for holiday promotions at the shopping centers 10. Manages gift with purchase campaigns 11. Assist Marketing Managers in coordinating direct mail pieces 12. Assists in on-boarding new suppliers and maintaining supplier documents ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education, Training and/or Experience Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or a related field with one plus years of experience in social media marketing, communications or digital media, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics 1. Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision and with a high level of accuracy 2. Effective oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate with all levels 3. Strong attention to detail 4.
