Rockstar San Diego is seeking a technical designer/scripter to join our multi award winning team.

As part of our design and scripting team you'll be heavily involved in the production and design of all single and multiplayer game content including missions and gameplay scenarios - you'll be making our games fun!

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The role involves script-based programming, game design and liaising with artists and programmers.

  • Use our proprietary scripting language to design and script missions and gameplay systems.

  • Work with programmers and artists to create production quality missions from specification documents.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Game design experience, firsthand experience of developing game content is highly desirable.

  • Experience with programming and scripting languages (e.g. Unity, Python, VB, LUA, C#, C++, etc.) required.

  • Computer Science degree is considered a definite advantage.

  • Multiplayer design experience is preferrable for multiplayer roles, and a passion for multiplayer experiences is highly desirable.

SKILLS

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently under tight deadlines.

  • Self motivated and possess great communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Possess a passion for Rockstar Games and a good understanding of game design.

  • A programming diploma or certificate is an asset, but not mandatory.

  • A good sense of fun!

  • Good problem solving skills .

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Keen eye for detail.

  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Software Package (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Our innovative state-of-the-art products improve patient care and comfort, and help people lead better lives To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience The successful candidate will have: * 7+ years of experience in electrical schematic capture and PCB layout, with demonstrated success carrying projects through to a robust, verified, producible design and volume production * 7+ years of experience designing high-speed digital PCBAs, including routing of impedance controlled lines and differential pairs * 5+ years of experience with PADs PowerPCB (PADS Standard Plus) * 5+ years of experience designing mixed signal PCBs * 5+ years of experience designing power supplies and analog circuitry * 5+ years of experience optimizing designs to reduce EMI * Must be proficient with CAE tools used for Schematic Capture and PCB Layout Other Desired Experience/Qualifications: * Proficiency with OrCAD schematic capture * AutoCAD experience * Proficiency in presenting designs in design reviews * Previous design experience in a regulated environment (i.e. Medical products) or under a formal product development process This position primarily requires sitting, standing, and walking. Also requires lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs. Must have fine manipulation and grasping skills, as well as the ability to reach, twist, and bend on an occasional to frequent basis. This position requires certification in PCBA layout (IPC CID+) and a minimum of a BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university or a College degree with advanced is highly desired.
