Rockstar San Diego is seeking a technical designer/scripter to join our multi award winning team.

As part of our design and scripting team you'll be heavily involved in the production and design of all single and multiplayer game content including missions and gameplay scenarios - you'll be making our games fun!


  • The role involves script-based programming, game design and liaising with artists and programmers.

  • Use our proprietary scripting language to design and script missions and gameplay systems.

  • Work with programmers and artists to create production quality missions from specification documents.


  • Game design experience, firsthand experience of developing game content is highly desirable.

  • Experience with programming and scripting languages (e.g. Unity, Python, VB, LUA, C#, C++, etc.) required.

  • Computer Science degree is considered a definite advantage.

  • Multiplayer design experience is preferrable for multiplayer roles, and a passion for multiplayer experiences is highly desirable.


  • Ability to work independently and efficiently under tight deadlines.

  • Self motivated and possess great communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Possess a passion for Rockstar Games and a good understanding of game design.

  • A programming diploma or certificate is an asset, but not mandatory.

  • A good sense of fun!

  • Good problem solving skills .

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Keen eye for detail.

  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Software Package (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Instructional Designer (Remote Location) How will you make an impact? Designs, develops and delivers/implements innovative and creative global learning solutions (web-based training, technical training videos, job aids, guides, etc.) utilizing a variety of methods and web authoring tools (advanced Articulate Storyline and/or Adobe Captivate experience is required). What will you do? * Coordinates and delivers global learning sessions using multiple technologies such as self-paced eLearning modules, video sessions, blended learning and performance support materials. * Designs, develops and implements a wide variety of learning solutions. Works with subject matter experts (SMEs) and source materials to develop eLearning, job aids, instructor-led sessions, etc. using adult learning principles to enhance the learning experience. * Partners with external vendors to develop concepts, programs, materials, videos, etc. * Identify new tools and emerging technology that will improve our efficiency in developing learning experiences and improve our existing processes for the creation and delivery of learning. * Create content for reinforcement tools, synchronous and asynchronous. * Use the tools and functions within our learning management system to configure learning activities and deliver to the proper audience; understand and apply security roles, notifications, collaboration centers, workshop scheduling, registrations, uploading and updating of content. * Create assessments. * Pull reports and analyze learner data including completions, progress, etc. and share data analysis with Sr. Managers and team members. * Monitor and respond to emails to training and eLearning email boxes. * Troubleshoot user issues with LMS and eLearning modules. * Independently prioritize and accomplish multiple projects and tasks within established timeframes. How will you get here?
