Overview

TE Inc.is looking for a Technical Coordinator to support the US operation with administrative support, community engagement, and talent and retention. Established in 2019, Tokamak Energy (TE) Inc., the US subsidiary of Tokamak Energy is rapidly expanding its US footprint. You will have the exciting opportunity to help establish our US office, pursue new opportunities in fusion and magnets with government and commercial partners and support the TE Inc team in delivering TE’s fusion pilot plant under the US Department of Energy Fusion Pilot Plant program.

Requirements

 Provide administrative support to the team:

  • Schedule stakeholder meetings, support with emails, calendars, meeting preparation and meeting minutes and actions
  • Work with internal and external TE Inc and TE Ltd stakeholders to support and oversee secondments and visitors ensuring schedules, travel, accommodation, presentation packs are in place as required.
  • Interface with UK TE Ltd financial accounting to ensure smooth operation of TE Inc payroll, benefits, and other financial reporting deadlines

Organize community engagement:

  • Coordinate community engagement strategy with consultants to establish meaningful relationships with local communities in proximity to our current and future US operations
  • Collaborate with local stakeholders and government officials to align community initiatives with company goals and values.
  • Act as a representative of TE Inc in government and industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
  • Leverage knowledge of fusion science and / or engineering to contribute to the development of business proposals and funding applications to support expansion projects.

 Support talent and retention

  • Collaborate with US TE Inc and UK TE Ltd stakeholders to develop and execute a comprehensive talent acquisition and retention strategy. 
  • Support effective onboarding and professional development programs to nurture employee growth and career advancement.
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, ensuring a supportive and inclusive work environment.

Requirements

  • You have a passion for organisation, administrative management and driving business 
  • You are autonomous, organised and are able to hold people accountable
  • You can support the US team with administrative and project based tasks
  • You are able to juggle multiple and conflicting priorities
  • You are able to identify areas of opportunities to operate more efficiently and you can support with cross programme best practices
  • You are great at communicating and happy to support teams with regards to their training and knowledge improvement
  • Experience in a startup is preferred
  • Experience with US government and national labs is preferred
  • Experience in energy sector is preferred
  • Background in science, engineering and / or nuclear physics is preferred

  •           Salary dependent on skills and experience and will be discussed from the outset

  •           Occasional travel to UK on company business
