Overview

Susquehanna International Group (SIG) has an opening for an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join our compliance technology team in the Philadelphia office. The compliance technology team develops Surveillance, Monitoring and Reporting Tools for the compliance business community. This team is responsible for designing and developing tools for the oversight of SIG's trading activities across all of our products, including options, equities, futures, fixed income, and many others.

In this role, you will support various regulatory and business changes that may lead to systemic edits, updates, or new development as well as internal and external audits including software development life cycle and risk control audits. You will ensure that any such changes are being managed in accordance with regulatory guidelines and business expectations. You will also research and document findings for compliance sensitive events and inquiries. You would also be collecting and continuously maintaining the current state of risk controls, software development practices or recommendations, and other trading-related information, and organizing this data for effective reference. This would include managing and documenting workflows for approvals processes or audit data collection. In carrying out these responsibilities, you will be tasked with thinking documenting workflows, articulating how systems interact, articulating how our systems requirements will change in light of new regulatory rules and work with the various technology teams to address these changes within our environment. In order to be successful in this role, you will work with multiple stakeholders as you gather business and system information, elicit requirements, and evaluate needs. You may also be required to maintain project documentation and manage project timelines.

  • Collaborators who are able to work with desk teams & to assess, understand, implement and provide guidance on requirements

  • Planners who organize and facilitate the development and implementation of projects; who manage back log deployment and understand a large scale production environment

  • Great communicators who effectively report on project status to all levels of staff and management regularly to increase project transparency for all participants and stakeholders

  • Take a holistic view of systems and understand how the hardware, networking, and middleware layers integrate with software components

  • Willing to assist with testing when required

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Business Analysis role in IT environment with management of SDLC projects.

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline required or other related discipline

  • Knowledge of relational databases (such as Oracle, SQL, MySQL) and the ability write SQL queries required

  • Excellent communication (both oral and written) and organizational skills

  • Strong planning, estimation, and risk management skills

  • Knowledge of any scripting or programming languages and/or Business Intelligence reporting tools (such as QlikView) a plus

  • Ability to manage small projects and targeted sub-projects

  • Experience with SharePoint is a plus

  • Experience with Confluence is a plus

  • Experience working in a financial services / trading firm is a plus

  • Familiarity with the financial regulatory environment and trading risk controls is a preferred

  • Experience with agile and/or waterfall project management and software development methodologies

  • Experience working with project tracking systems required; experience with Jira preferred
