• Position Summary

This position is an entry level role in the plastics injection molding and tooling operation. The role is to learn while doing assigned tasks; to serve and assist the plastic tooling technician, press operators and related functions to support safe, accurate, and timely preventive maintenance of plastic injection molds with a desire to grow within toolroom department.

Position Responsibilities

• Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities on injection molds

• Clean and prepare molds

• Assist with preventive maintenance (PM) activities on injection molds

• Learn to change out inserts and date codes per schedule; perform tasks guidance until mastery achieved

• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of tooling area

• Work closely with Toolmaker or other assigned expert to learn how to execute repairs

• Assist with maintenance of tool PM information using Fix maintenance service request program

Knowledge and Experience

• Production experience in a plastic injection molding operation; minimum 6 to 12 months.

• Demonstrates basic understanding of injection mold press operation.

• Material handling experience as demonstrated by current company forklift operator certification OR able to successfully earn forklift certification within 3 months of placement.

Education and Certification

• High School Diploma or equivalent
