DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will engage in entry-level technical tasks within the engineering technology field while also participating in a comprehensive 12-month training program. Your main duties will involve independently performing technical responsibilities like inspecting materials, evaluating workmanship quality in highway construction projects, and contributing to project design. Additionally, you will assist in inspecting and testing highway construction work to ensure compliance with contract requirements and specifications, as well as aid in the preparation of payment estimates and progress reports. Furthermore, you will be responsible for inspecting and conducting acceptance testing on concrete products at project sites, and collaborating with contractors and surveyors on tasks such as grade checks and stake-outs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. This position has vendor-controlled work hours.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, on an ad hoc basis. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Indiana.
Overtime and travel as needed/directed.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Graduation from high school; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
This particular position also requires a valid Class C driver's license which is not under suspension.
