The Technical Assistance Specialist provides targeted technical assistance to Strong Minds family child care homes. This position requires the ability to empower family child care home owners to lead their own change process, a high degree of initiative, discretion and tact. The Technical Assistance Specialist position requires an individual who can manage their schedule, work independently, communicate effectively orally and in writing, understand and implement procedures and practices, and demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in their work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and present trainings to support StrongMinds family childcare home owners as well as conduct Community of Practice sessions.
Provide technical assistance to support participating contracted providers.
Adhere to all Coalition personnel policies and procedures.
Market technical assistance services to Strong Minds family child care providers at the Emerging, Promising or In Network status levels. Develop resources to support StrongMinds.
Support family child care homes providers in creating their quality improvement plan based on recent assessments and program goals, focusing on the core content areas.
Provide targeted technical assistance to family child care homes based on the core content areas.
Document all related technical assistance work, including monthly schedules into the WELS system.
Document related technical assistance in the Strong Minds WELS.
Attend meetings and trainings as appropriate, in a punctual, professional and contributory manner. This includes Strong Minds and Early Head Start meetings, as well as Quality Program Department meetings.
Assist in the design and development of presentation materials; present in front of groups as needed.
Participate in ongoing refinement of the technical assistance model.
Organize work, set priorities, meet critical deadlines and follow up on assignments with a minimum of direction.
Responds to requests and inquiries from providers, internal and external partners as needed
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external staff and partners.
May take the lead on specific projects as directed.
Must be able to work on a consistent basis with regular attendance and punctuality and be willing and able to handle all the duties and responsibilities of this position daily.
Performs other duties that may be necessary to maintain the success of the organization, as determined by management.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

This position requires successful completion of the level 2 background screening standards as set forth in 435.04, F.S. and drug screening as the Coalition is a drug free workplace.
Valid Florida's driver license.
This position may require 50% or more travel in Palm Beach County. Position requires county-wide travel on a regular/frequent basis as it is community based with services being provided directly in local communities and/or in individual's homes.
Bilingual in Spanish or Creole is preferred.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited four-year College or university.
One year of experience with Early Education.
Two to five years related experience and/or training preferred.
An ideal candidate will be experienced using Database software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. The candidate will have an advanced experience using Outlook in an Exchange environment, tech savvy over all, experience with Box/Dropbox, familiarity with Android and IOS, Windows 8 and 10 experience, and experience working offsite using portable scanners and laptops.

Technical Assistance Specialists will work from several office locations based on location of providers and daily schedule.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule when required by management.
