JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Utilize advanced, specialized knowledge of LexisNexis's proprietary, internally developed software products to provide effective architectural and structural design, ensure ongoing development, maintenance, and delivery of technical knowledge and expertise, and determine the technical feasibility of development projects. Act as a conduit between Global Architecture (Enterprise Architects) and the Engineering or Development teams. Lead teams toward problem-resolution by identifying, researching, and coordinating the resources necessary to effectively troubleshoot/diagnose complex project issues. Evaluate new technologies and their applicability to the business. Work across/with Architects from different organizations. Drive technical direction and architecture evolution via reviews and on-floor leadership. Introduce/train teams with new technology. Extract/translate findings into alternatives/solutions, identifying risks/impacts and schedule adjustments to facilitate management decision-making. Actively monitor the Business Unit system health and design and write proposals to remedy the cause of negative trends. Proactively monitor new development to discover subsystems or components that should be evolved into shared infrastructure. Proactively research, monitor, learn, and assess industry/technology advancements and continually build alliances to explore ways to leverage and advance our technical opportunities. Perform other duties as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (employer will accept three or four year degree as equivalent) required.
- 4 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.
- Also required is: 4 years of experience: creating and utilizing cloud-based product architectures to build AWS-based legal research solutions; using modern authentication protocols to support identity federation; utilizing advanced design and solution architecture for .NET core microservices as part of a micro-frontend product stack; and applying information security principles to system and process design in order to securely authorize access to legal research products in a cloud-based multitenant environment.
- Employee reports to LexisNexis USA office in Raleigh, NC but may telecommute from any location within the U.S.
- Experience can be concurrent.
