Job Title:Technical and Production Events Manager

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Manager, Live Entertainment and Charters! This role will be responsible for managing the on stage presentation of all Carnival concerts events and groups including all technical equipment procurement, shipping, set up, breakdown, staffing, associated general logistics and venue operations. The Manager advances all concerts with artist's production management pertaining to sound, lighting, back line, video and labor requirements. Works vendors and on board staff to ensure concerts are supported and produced at the highest possible quality. Prepares quotations and approves purchases as needed. The Production Manager will also manage all theater operations including on board technical staff, security, ushering, general and ADA requirements during the event.

Essential Functions

  • Advance all technical needs with artists adhering to contractual terms and conditions

  • Negotiate with vendors to fulfill all sound, lighting, video, back line and labor requirements. Advise management on options.

  • Develop and communicate all technical and event operation aspects with onboard entertainment, security and safety departments.

  • Develop and manage equipment logistics to all ports including shipping, storage and Customs requirement.

  • Manage site operations and show production to high quality industry standards.

  • Maintain technical and labor budgets for all Carnival live events and shows.

  • Ensure the compliance with and enhancement of safety protocols.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Theater/Music or event planning preferred.

  • 3 Years + of professional experience.

  • Preferred show production expertise including sound, lighting, staging, video and instrument and managing multiple discipline labor teams.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, Excel, and Powerpoint.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills and ability to adapt to changing situations on foreign ports.
