Duties:

Supports the Project Manager in the examination of correct, complete, reliable and maintainable MFOM software installations.

Qualifications/Education:

BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Physical Sciences, Information Security, Mathematics, Management Information Systems, or Business.

Skills and Abilities:

Ten (10) years of experience in technical specifications development, process analysis and design,

technical problem solving, and analytical/logical thinking with an emphasis in Verification and Validation activities. This includes examining the correctness, completeness, reliability, and maintainability of products at each step in the development process:

Correctness means the product being evaluated satisfies all system specification requirements.

Completeness signifies all required functions are implemented and all necessary products are developed to fully support the program lifecycle.

Reliability indicates the final product can be expected to perform its intended function without error or failure.

Maintainability requires that the developed program products be designed to facilitate and simplify

lifecycle maintenance and modifications.

We are looking for a NOC Operations Engineer Level 4 with strong interpersonal and project management skills. Candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, installation, configuration and maintenance of large—scale network infrastructure. Responsibilities will also include assisting in the maintenance of existing network infrastructure. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Install, support and maintain hardware and software infrastructure according to provided documentation. * Perform network security integration; * Diagnose problems and solve issues, often under time constraints; * Implement the necessary controls and procedures to protect information systems assets from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure, or destruction; * Assist in the development of guidelines and procedures for administration and security best practices; * Monitor network usage, anticipate problems and suggest solutions; * Manage projects and maintenance tasks in SM7 * Work closely with colleagues to meet team goals and improve processes and practices. * Perform other tasks as requested by the Manager of Transport Operations Qualifications Qualifications: * This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Secret security clearance. * 8570 compliance (Security+ CE preferred) * B.A. or B.S. in a technical field or a relevant combination of education and experience. * 5+ years of expertise in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices, including: firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points and controllers, and monitoring applications. * Intermediate to expert understanding of firewall configuration and maintenance. * Intermediate to expert with configuration, installation, troubleshooting, and supporting * Networking equipment * Wireless (WiFi) equipment * Comfortable documenting and explaining network topologies * Understand and diagram existing network * Experience deploying and/or maintaining an enterprise campus network * Intermediate to expert with 802.1q VLANs and working within industry best practices * General patch cable termination capabilities (Cat5e/Cat6) * Experience building and maintaining fiber optic networks * Understanding of 802.11G/N in both the 2.4 and 5 GHz frequencies * Experience maintaining an enterprise--‐level infrastructure, including fiber optic and wireless using Cisco and HP technologies * Controller, Point to Point Links, Access Points * Ability to engineer, build, and test wireless network for optimum coverage and reliability * General understanding of VoIP equipment and operation * Powering the phone * Getting voice and data networks to a phone * Able to work with a VoIP provider to deploy and support * Knowledgeable in application transport and network infrastructure protocols (SSL/TLS, DNS, DHCP, WINS, NTP, FTP, HTTP, SMTP, CIFS, LDAP, and Microsoft AD), and possess an understanding of how to support these applications / protocols when accessed through VPN and firewall appliances. * Understanding and implementation of network traffic analysis, remote access methods and systems, stateful inspection firewalls, encryption, authentication and authorization technology. * Hands--‐on technical experience working with VPN technologies (IPSEC, SSL VPN, WebVPN, AnyConnect, DMVPN, etc.). * Configuring network services using open source technologies on Linux servers * Experience in a fast--‐paced support environment in a campus networks as a member of a 24x7x365 network and/or security operations team. * VMware Enterprise administration experience. * Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technologies and products, independently using documentation and online resources. * Strong oral, written, communications, and presentation skills.
