The Technical Advisor provides technical leadership to specific CGG GeoSoftware customers, driving software sales and the software's increased and advanced usage by the client.
Key Job Responsibility
Provide professional level of technical expertise to the pre-sale activities.
Understand the value proposition of Geosoftware cross products
Able to prepare fit-for-purpose presentations to show the unique value of GeoSoftware products to customers and cross-product solutions
Able to discuss with customers the advanced technical concepts of the supporting product.
Conduct 'needs assessment' analysis to understand clients' technical challenges and advice on the best solution using tailor made workflows Engage with client to incline towards using Geosoftware solutions.
Work with Business Managers to identify sales opportunities through support, training or onsite support.
Able to drive a proficient software demonstration to customers using new products
Able to support and manage independently software evaluation projects, Proof of Concept (POC), feasibility study and pilot projects at CGG office or at customers' site.
Can clearly explain to customers values from GeoSoftware cross-product workflows and leverage cross product workflows to solve key customers' issues. .
Able to teach advanced training courses to internal audience as well as customers. Mentor junior geoscientists on software as well technology to enhance their proficiency and knowledge
Building and maintaining customer relationship at a level of trusted advisor
Gather market intelligence of customers and competition activities to management (Business Manager and RTM) to generate leads and to advance position of GeoSoftware products.
Have at least one publication per year in technical conference or Journal of repute.
Attends trade shows to deliver presentations/demonstrations. Presents pre-/post conference courses of professional societies/ University Student bodies.
Eager to acquire higher level of software proficiency and expertise in reservoir characterization domain.
Potential travel domestic and international for training, conference and on-site customers' activities.
Required Education & Experience
Bachelor degree or higher in geophysics, geology, geoscience or equivalent
7-12 years of experience in oil and gas industry with background in seismic reservoir characterization.
Strong geophysical background.
Knowledge of Seismic Inversion and applied Reservoir Characterization workflows; extensive experience in applying Jason suite of software products to these workflows
Strong awareness of personnel development and an enthusiasm to train others
Organized, efficient and with excellent time management skills
Good communication skills (written & oral).
Ability to work as part of team; self-disciplined and self-motivated to work individually.
