The Financial Reporting Manager works closely with finance personnel, as well as others across the organization, to produce periodic internal and external financial reports. Detail-orientation and strong technical skills and communication are critical to the success of this role. This position reports to the Vice President of Accounting.

The Role

  • Engage with other finance team members and cross functional business partners in the preparation of SEC (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) filings.

  • Coordinate year-end audit and quarterly reviews of financial statements by outside auditors.

  • Generate internal financial statements and participate in the reviews of monthly financial reporting package.

  • Lead team to perform accounting research and analyze technical accounting issues in accordance with GAAP and align with the external audit team.

  • Assist with the documentation and review of internal controls and compliance with SOX 404 for all related processes.

  • Participate in other processes as needed to ensure proper disclosures of all material items in the Company's SEC reports.

  • Oversee ancillary audits such as the 401(K) plan and statutory audits for subsidiaries.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (or equivalent) required; CPA required

  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive financial experience in public accounting

  • Extensive Microsoft Excel experience required with VBA or SQL experience a plus

  • SEC Reporting experience preferred

  • eCommerce industry knowledge preferred (or other fast-paced startup environment)

  • Experience with Workiva or other financial reporting software preferred

  • Demonstrated attention-to-detail, follow-through, critical thinking, and strong problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to convey analytical concepts clearly to peers and management
