We have an immediate opportunity for a Technical Account Manager.

Position Overview

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) is a partner of the Account Executive/Sales Representative and is responsible for driving the strategic vision for each account and delivering additional revenue from these accounts. You will be mapped to several accounts across one or more practices. You will drive opportunities and new relationships within accounts and provide technical presales support to respective Account Executives in growing the sales pipeline. The TAM partners with Account Executives on sales calls serving as technical lead.

This role will be affiliated with or near a regional office and will require travel including to and from Customer sites that the Technical Account Manager has been assigned to. (Travel may be domestic and or International).



  • Partners with business leaders to deliver services that support company objectives and that are consistent with Winning Together values.

  • Leadership role supporting and engaging in sales opportunities and deals with technical expertise to assist the sales team to close deals

  • Assist with generating revenue through Hardware/Product and Services sales by providing technical support

  • Responsible for and provides oversight for Pre-Sales deals (engaging the Chief Architect & Customer Acquisition Engineer as needed).

  • Plays a pivotal role in ensuring 'holistic' delivery to client, by understanding customer's needs and creating and articulating solutions to the customer.

  • Analyze technical needs, requirements, and state of customers' current infrastructure and operations.

  • Identify opportunities and develop technical solutions to meet customers' needs and requirements.

  • Drives and leads process of selection of networking and systems technologies and products for implementation.

  • Completes high level Bill of Materials (BOMs) development and collaborates with the Pre-Sales Engineering Teams to develop final quotes and proposals

  • Forecasts opportunities in the CRM tool.

  • Evaluates new vendor technology offerings; provide recommendations and go-to market plans for said technology.

  • Partners with business leaders to deliver resources and services that support company objectives that are consistent with Winning Together values.

Education & Experience Required

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS) (preferred) or equivalent in work experience.

  • 7+ years of experience in designing, developing, configuring, and implementing enterprise networks with diverse solutions from multiple vendors.

  • 5+ years as a presales Technology Generalist and solutioning professional.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Able to engage, and interact effectively, with people from many different disciplines.

  • Excellent written communication skills.

  • Experience with IT delivery methodologies.

  • Understanding and Knowledge of IT Trends and Business needs.

  • Ability to develop and maintain client engagements/relationships.

  • Develop and deliver solutions architecture presentations.

  • Vendor Certifications a plus (including CISCO CCNP, Juniper JNCIS, Dell / EMC Storage or Networking Specialist, and or VMware VCP

  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
